i am having trouble figuring out what is going on with my plant. slowly all the leaves are starting to look nasty with brown spots on them. help me please !!
also eventually the leaf will turn completely yellow with the brown spots on them.

last time i check it was at 6.3 before it used to be 5.5 maybe i should flush them again? when the soil run off was 5.5 i flushed the hell out of it until i got a reading of 6.3 but it has been a week or so since i did it. Maybe it has some kind of nutrient lock?

Yeh, doesn't look like the work of mites or other little critters, IMO...are these plants indoors? All I can say is flush, then just water with phd water for a week and see what happens... :-/

yes it is indoors. What should the ph of the water be? 7.0 8.0?

i also watered the plants sunday do you think it is ok to flush them now?

i just checked the soil and its still moist from the top of the soil.

I'm having the same problem too. Thought it was due to a fungus gnat infestation, but it could be because of the phosphate buffer I used. After the gnats went away I figured it was either the buffer or the nutes I was using (schultz 10-15-10 at 1/4 strength every other watering 1-2x/wk). I decided not to stress plants further by trying to flush, especially if the buffer is the problem--right now I am just watering with buffered water and no nutes and I'm gonna see what happens.

I think the normal philosophy is that overwatering will cause less damage than the nute burn. Dunno, but i've been having this problem for a couple of weeks and nothing had died yet so you can probably wait till they are dry if you are worried about killing your plants with too much water.
