Hi
My PH rises about 0.2 after each watering, keep adding PH down to 6.0. 16/8 hours water 4x a day. Growing Eb and Flow, in Hydroton, 18 plants, 21 days old. Feeding full strength FloraNove series, and RootsXcell. PPM at 950. Plants look good to me, being about 4inch tall and a leaf span of 4inch.. Can not find much info on this problem, or is it a problem? Thanks |

Hello my friend..
are you adding water? or are you saying that every time the pump goes on the pH rises .2 and does not come back down? set your pH to 5.8 and then stop adding pH down for a day or 2 or even 3 and tell me what happens... does it just keep going up? are you burning anything in the room.. cigarrets, sage, sulpher, crack or "whatever" when the pump is on? do you have airstones in your reservoir or anywhere in your system? cheers |

Ummmm not sure if my reply got through or not?
Thanks for the feed back. No Cigs, simi closed room with AC and Co2 The actual rise in the last 24hrs was .6 with 4 waterings. The ppm steady at 950 Have had to add 5gal to a 30gal tank of ph6 20ppm water, comps of a great ro. No air stones. The ph has always gone up started about 0.1 a day and slowly increased to 0.5 or 0.6 ppm now (21 days), does not go down unless I add PH down. Thanks for any advise. how old are the plants.. well, what i mean, is how long .. how many days as this been happening.. the pH going up that is...
have yo ever just left it alone (not added water or nutrients or anything new to the system) besides watering of course, for 5 days? can you do that .. and lets see if it just levels out.. What are you using to lower the PH? What kind of nutrienst are you using.. some nutrients have something in them that is always trying to CHASE the PERFECT pH.... they sort of self regulate.. there is a HYDRO term for it.. but it escape me right now.. pH buffering? ummm cheers |

Wow thanks again for the quick reply.
UMMMMMMMMM thinkin and lookin, I soaked the plants on the 22nd last month. Placed in rockwool 1 1/2 inch next day as all seeds sprouted, Rock wool presoaked to 5.5ph feed only water for 4 days. then placed in Hytroton with 5.8 ph and 300ppm nutes. Floranova grow 15mk/gal, FloraLicious 1ml/ga + FloraBlend1ml gal and RootsXcell 1.1/gal. Slowy encreased Floranove Grow from 300ppm to 950ppm (55ml total) now. The higher the ppm the higher the PH climbed. This last watering when they woke up was set at 5.8ph, (GenHydro ph down), will let it go for a couple of days and get back to you. The total time from soaking the seeds to now is 22days. This is my first children and I check them a zillion time a day. LOL Thanks Mr Ganja Last edited by Newfriend; 09-12-2007 at 11:32 PM.. |

Hi
My vergin water was 6ph at 20ppm After I started the nuets at about 300ppm, the ph only gained about .1 every 2 days. I then slowly encreased the nuets over time to its present ppm of 950. I started with a ph of 5.8 yesterday, after 4 feedings it is now 6.4 ppm 950. Will leave it until tommor and see what happens. Thanks |

Hi
Just got back from a meeting with a very smart Hyperponic shop owner and he says the ph climb is about right for the 24 plants I have growing in 18 pots. I have them at full GH nuets and the light right down on top of them. I am going to settle for that, as the plants look good (to me, a newbie) they are about 4 to 5 inches tall with a leafe span of 4 to 6 inchs. The store owner says they sell automatic ph controlers as this is common with fast growing olants. I would be interested if your have a different oppenion. I have let them go for 24 hours now and the ph has fone from an adjusted 5.8 to 6.4 with 4 waterings. I will let them go another 24 befor I add some GH ph down. ?????????????? Thanks |

you didn't exactly answer my question. you have to adjust your Ph after you add your nutrients. otherwise, they'll be strong enough for a man, but not Ph balanced for a woman, if you catch my drift. you need to check and balance your Ph (if required) after every time you introduce something to your reservoir. otherwise, you will have a runaway Ph problem which can eventually lead to nute lock.

Hi
Wow agian. Under stand !!!!!!! When I added any Floranova, I checked the ph and ppm. I have a Hann ph/ppm/temp meter in the tanke at all times. Also check with the pool tabs to verify. The nuets only changed the ppm and the ph always stayed the same. Only the Rootsxcell Changed the ph and that was only 0.1 per 10ml I had the Rootsxcell at full strength on day 8 at 33ml / 30gal Thanks Last edited by Newfriend; 09-13-2007 at 01:50 PM.. |
