new leaves yellow, curling tips, stems are becoming purple, HELP!

I have a plant that is over about a month old. It is in a hydro setup.

Im using bcuzz a+b groth chemicals. And bcuzz root.

I also was recommended the VHO folair, and have been spraying it on with great success.

In the last day, my new sprouted leaves are a yellow green color, and my bigger leaves are turning light brown and curling and just the tip is dying.

The stems are becoming a purple color i think.

I have been filling the system with fluids 4 times a day, or once every 6 hours.

I think perhaps I am over watering.

PH levels are around 6.5

Is it possible that the VHO (which is a nitrogen folair suppliment) ... is it possible that I have over done it on that chemical?

I am under t5's, heat and ample light are not the issue.

Should I flush the plant with just water for a while... or should I just cut back on watering?

My rockwool never gets dry on the top surface... should it?

Should it get dry on the top before i water?

Or dry even all the way to the bottom?

I think i will have to cut back to watering 2 times a day if over watering is the issue... does 2 times a day sound normal?

Thanks.

can we get some pis up? sounds like ph or root bound to me
I cant get photos up at the moment, but will in the next day or so.

This is my first time growing, so ive done a ton of homework on it all, but i am a newb.

From what I have read, it is either too much water (since my rockwool cube never dries out) or it is too much nutes.

I went ahead and flushed the rockwool in the bathtub for a few minutes under the faucet with room temp water.

I have not added anymore nute water to the plant.

I plan on letting the rockwool get dry once first.

Then i plan on toning down my chemical concentrations in my fluids.

I think my mixture might be a bit too hot.

I just remixed all my chemicals 2 days ago with fresh water... before i was going light on purpose with the chemicals... now im doing whats recommended... but maybe its off scale for my plants needs.

I have only had the plant for just over a week, i got it from a friend.

Thats why the overwatering could be the issue as well.

The plant has grown a lot in the last week, its just last night and today that it started showing the yellow on the leaves and the leaf tips curling and turning brown at the tip.

4 times a day in hydro should be fine. And your rockwool doesn't have to dry if it is covered correctly I believe.

It is possible that you were going a little to low on the nutes. All those issues are symptoms of both deficiency and overdose.

If you started flushing and that didn't work then you are probably right in moving onto giving a bit more nutes.

I would say that 75% of the dose recommended on the bottle is generally enough but you want to work your way up to this.

One thing that comes to mind with your problem is that if you are forgetting to shake the nutrients well the separation that occurs in the bottle could be giving you odd nutrient deficiencies.

Honestly, i think i had the nutes right the first week, and then when i mixed them the second time, i mixed them to the richest advized amount... so i think its a bit too hot on nutes.

I added some more water to my mixture. I havent added anymore water or nutes since i did the water flush earlier today.

I will add the nutes back to the plant again tomorrow morning, and see where it takes me.

I checked the PH of the fluid, and its 6.2, so shouldnt have any problems there.

Just out of curiosity... over time, do the plants make the nute water lower ph or higher ph?

My observible guess is lower ph.

My tap water is right at 7.0

After mixing nutes in, its 6.5

And after the nutes have gone through the plant a few times, it seems they drop to the low 6's. I havent kept old fluid around long enough to see what happens to ph over more than a few days.
