Exclamation Bud rot Q N A
Hey all, just wondering with bud rot, does that particuler mold spore dislike alkiline enviroments like powdery mildew? in otherwords would it be effective to use alkiline sprays, hydronperoxide, or even milk too help stop the production of spores? as they do with powdery mildew?
i know there is a product called serenade which is suppose to work well but i just wanted to see if anyone knew of any other ways of keeping bud rot at bay, my PK (purple kush) had a few colas infected with earlie stages of bud rot, so i topped my plant of all the most mature buds and trimmed leafs bag for circulation seems to be fine, what im worried about is my other plant which isnt as far along as my PK, it hasn''t shown signs of bud rot yet but with the weather getting wetter and not as warm im sure its only a matter of time, so with that im hoping i can find a treatment that will hopefuly keep it away for aslong as possible with out burnin a hole through my wallet.
Any info would be great thanks
feel free to post you expirences with bud rot and what you might of used to keep it away!

Hey, I am having the same problem with bud rot, did you end up finding a solution that worked? If so, I could use the help.

Thanks

Yeah i got through it, it was an outdoor crop and a plant that had to go late into the season, i ended up harvesting just before nov!!
anyways for the most part i had very little bud rot, what i found helped was daily applications of diluted hydrogen peroxide aswell as the odd day switching to baking soda and diluted milk, both kept infections at bay and when i did find an infection it was usually a fan leafs not bud but either way i removed small area of infection then drenched ground zero with peroxide diluted too kill any remaining mold spores, and this all seemed to help alot if i didnt treat them the mold would of grown very easy and i would of not come out with as much product as i did.

It tends to happen from the inside out so stuff that works for leaf molds like powdery mildew will not really prevent bud rot especially if your buds are really big and dense. The trick is to keep humidity down, run a good circulation fan and I dig around inside my buds to check for mold periodically.
