Hey guys im in a little predicament. I have been trying to figure out what kind of bugs are in my soil and on my leaves. I believe them to be spider mites but every solution i have tried isnt working. They are extremely small and most look an orange or red color. however there are some white looking ones. There are a significant amount of them crawling on top of the soil so i transplanted my sprouts to a new pot of soil but they are still there. I have tried a bleach solution, a soap solution, and a liquid detergent solution. I have to get rid of these guys they are worrying the shit out of me. PLEASE HELP!

Try using Organicide or try don't bug me from Fox Farm

Its quite common to get 2 or 3 different bugs at the same time. The method with how bugs getting into grow rooms are usually the same....They see light or smell the plants and head in that direction and get sucked into the room via the breather holes we use to allow air in.

Many bugs like thrip live and inhabit 3 parts of the grow room. The soil, under the leaves and in the air. So you need a 3 part attack strategy to get rid of them. Most pest sprays contain the same ingredience, neem oil, garlic oil and pyrethrum, and some liquid castile soap to penetrate into soil. Thrips as an example exist in all 3 places. As lavae they live under the leaves, they drop into the soil to form their chrysalis, then hatch and fly into the air. So if you do not target all 3 areas at the same time you only interupt a part of the reproductive cycle of verman.

So that means weekly treating the soil, under the leaves, and sticky traps in the air until they are gone. Also wipe down any surfaces in your grow room too with the insecticide sprays.

well i am not quite sure what kind of bugs right now. I think i am goin to use an alcohol solution and see if it works but they have really invested my garden. If i stare at the top of the soil i can see a whole shitload crawling on top. They are very very small white-ish bugs. my ones sprout is suffering, browning in some spots. U think i still have a chance to kill them off?

are they on the actual plant?

yea they are all on the leaves and stem. They are really killing my one sprout. I sprayed them down with a alcohol solution and then a couple hours later i sprayed them with a anti-bacterial and water solution. They are everywhere but underneath the soil. I dont think have time to order insecticide spray i am really trying to save these cuz i paid alot for the seeds and they are a special strain. Anyones help is appreciated.

If your spraying them with all that stuff you might be killing your plant.

Go to your local walmart or lowes or whatever and grab some permethrin. It has all kinds of different names. The stronger the better. Best stuff ever. Cheap

here is a trick i saw done once in college. get a trashbag and spray a buch of insect killing raid in it then put the plant in the bag for about 6 hours. Make sure to tie the top. Bugs will be done and plant will be fine. After turn the plant upside down and submerge it in water while leaving the soil and container above the water. this will get rid of the nasty chemicals on the green part of the plant you may not want to smoke later.

I have also used cigarette juice and organic dish soap to spray on the fuckers.
