I had to transplant my plant from the ground to a pot shortly ago and somehow in the process i bent a pretty major branch and this all had to occur during the flowering stage.... bummer, either way i included pics. I tied it the 2 days ago and put a stint, and today i went back to wrap a wire around it to make it stand up as straight as possible and when i took the other stint off it stood up straight and didnt bend but the leaves are still droopy but they dont look unhealthy, the hairs on the buds at that spot in the plant are turning a little red as well and there is more thc than the other buds seeping through but not a whole lot. But other than the drooping it seems healthy, the spot where it is bent is a little discolored kinda darkish not much though and it goes up the stem a little. You can see it in the pictures. Please give me some tips, i included some pics of the other buds as well

Does anybody have some suggestions?

Hi, I don't think you need to worry. IF the stem was only bent you still have fluid transport through the stem to some degree. That degree depends on how well you splinted it and restored circulation. As you probably know the cambium layer just under the skin of the stem is where the fluid flows. Break it girdle it or cut it and that stem is a gonner. Bent though you can save it just as you have by splinting and propping with stakes. Now some circulation still may be lost which will result in a partial drying or die off of part of the branch & bud. However, where there is circulation there will be life. One note of caution if you are easily distracted: don't wrap the stem too tightly with anything and forget about it, eventually with continued plant growth it'll cut off circulation. I fixed a split main trunk once with green tape and forgot it and grew the cutest little bonsai buds you ever saw. Choked it off slowly, I use white tape now if I need to splint.

I wanted to wait and let it do its thing but my friend convinced me it was dead after 3 or 4 days it continued wilting and the leaves were curling, but the stem didnt bend when i took the brace off it kind of stuck up straight so i had my doubts and thought it might come back to life but its already flowering and i think its wasting alot of energy right now trying to fix it, its already october and its getting a little bit chilly so i want to watch out for budrot..... my other healthy leaves are kind of droopy do you think its because of the injury or would that not be enough to do it. It could be a little overwatering my dad didnt know i watered it and thought it needed water so he did his thing. Another thing is what should i do about where i cut the stem? Should i patch it up or something?

When I have a 'injury' in my room generally the rest of the plant isn't effected. But this is because all the injuries my babies have sustained have been on small insignificant branches. If you ended up damaging the greater majority of the plant the other portions of the plant can stress to an over abundance of available raw materials.

Also it leaves an area open to pathogens fungi etc.

It doesn't look as if the branch you are trying to heal will make it through the stress tho and I would just take it off and allow the plant to concentrate energy onto still growing portions rather than trying to heal a fuct branch.

As for if you should bandage your baby after you cut off that branch...

I don't grow outdoors but I don't worry about it. you might want to take a piece of micro pore tape to cover it for a small while but even micropore becomes permeable to infections when wet.

Luckily your plant evolved in the world it is growing in and it should be fine.

Hi, No worries, just make the branch as stable as you can and let it go, it'll heal. If you're really concerned about fungus or disease entering use some warm parafin wax to seal it. Other wilting may be shock related, over watering doesn't usually do it unless you've both been over watering all along. Good Luck!

actually what you did is a very popular method of super cropping i think that combined with transplant shock is the only thing making your plant hang so low... read about super cropping sometime... i have to do it in my room due to hight restrictions... but basically you lightly pinch your main stem and kink it over!
