Bud Rot Wars....Or how to Survive a Botrytis Attack

If you have to emergency chop becauce you have some seriously infected bud, take out just that whole stem right down to the main stem/trunk. If the rest of the plant and buds look fine than leave em.

Properly remove any infected buds form the stem outdoors.

If you have to do an any emergency chop, I would assume that your still feeding and not flushing.
If so set up a small rubber maid, fill with distilled water and throw in a couple of your air stones and start bubbling. Bring your chopped stems, (leave all the leaves on it ... your not harvesting yet) and suspend the cut stem about 1" underwater in the bubbles, tie your stem off/hang it for a few days like this. After a few days than start your harvet procedures. This will flush out the buds you've salvage and make your yield at least that much better.

This was my first post and the I cut the pics down to a min size, not wanting to be a bandwidth hog. However Ima thinking of reposting with lager pics so the details show a bit better, thoughts? would that be a worthwhile venture?

I'm in the NE too. Indoors, but I was in-taking from a window and my biggest cola was mercilessly attacked. Good thing I inspect every day. The rest seem fine but im going in with some popsickle sticks pronto.

Hey great post! I just discovered bud rot in central cola of my MK Ultra plant last night. Of course it was the biggest nicest one. I cut off cola, and rest of the plant and other plants look fine. Im day 57 of flower, they should go another week or so but Im nervous now and thinking about harvesting a little early... my humidity has been kept low Im so pissed... I really dont want to get it on any of my other girls when Im so close to harvest. I check them carefully every night... urgh

great post!!! also i was wondering would a silica blast help prevent mold to? its say on the bottle helps with extreme enviroments heat drought freeze..etc just wondering..

Nice advice & well put together OP.

For bud rot there is one thing i can suggest that is the bad ass. It's called Plant Magic Essence. Bit of a mission to mix it up , but once you got the knack of it, spray on once every 10 days as preventative or every 7 days as a treatment. In soil you can pour into roots too. Its a funghi assassin,This stuff works like you wont believe. Ive also found that lowering my fan-on temp, near end of flower causes the air in my grow room to be exchanged more regularly. I sat in there with a spliff & hygrometer and by lowering my fan on temp a few degrees lowered my humidity from 80+% to around 60% and 40-46% after the fan has done its thing. the fan comes on more reguarly but its that or loose the bud & then spend fucking hours disinfecting the room. ( again!)
