Default yellowing/stunted growth seedlings!!
my seedlings are under 250w mh in fox farms ocean organic. They all started growing very nicely at first but now at 1 week old they are yellow, have skinny stems, and havent grown much in the last 4 or 5 days. I water about every 3 -5 days. The plants are all working on their 2nd set of leaves but all the leaves are very skinning and yellow. does anyone know what may be causing this. thanks for takin the time to help.

Do you have chlorine in your water? if so let it sit out for a day, and man, you have to get a ph meter, don't waist your time growing without one..GL

You dont even need one that expensive bro...I paid like 7 bucks at hydro store for mine...Its nothing more that a lil vile and ph shit which comes in a eyedrop kinda thing...Simply fill a lil water in the vile and put a drop of the ph shit in it and shake it.....There are better ones out there but this one has worked for me......PH is very important when growing.....prolly one of the most important things.

Dosn't the Fox Farm ocean forest have a stable PH already? You might wanna test the PH of the water your using... Especially if you havnt evevn started using nutes. Im having the same problem, and I think its has to do with the environment, Do you have enough air circulation? How are your temps?? I moved my seedling out from the room I had them in orignally, and after 2 days it showed some serious signs of growth.

For PH up you can use baking soda, PH down you can use vinager.

IMO I wouldnt have the seedlings under a 250 MH, thats way powerfull.

Id use a 6500K CFL for seedlings / clones for several weeks until its a weebit stronger.

NO nutes for the first several weeks either.

Check out the GROWFAQ, lots of usefull info in there.

GoOd Luck to you. Keep us posted!
