So i just bought 12 clones from a legit SoCal dispensary on monday the 31. There was one yellow leaf on one clone when i picked them up. I brought them home, transplanted them into coco pots filled with coco. Using Canna nutes. Watering by hand under T5 fluorescents. Temp, PH, and humidity are all within range. As of rite now (9/3 10:10 PM PDT) several leaves have started to curl and progress changing to yellow and brown. The stems are also turning purple. There is very little (if any) drooping. Aside from several leaves turning yellow and brown and curling the rest look pretty healthy (from a first-timer's view anyway). The guy at the hydro store had us flush them today with straight RO water. I am going to post pics and any help at all would be appreciated. I am a longtime reader of these boards but first time poster. Thank you in advance.
PS: The two strains are ChemDawg 4 and Cinderella 99 PSS: The roots are now penetrating the 6" coco pots as well Last edited by AtticusHolliday; 09-04-2009 at 05:47 PM.. Reason: mispellings, updates |

That's because all the useful pics are out of focus.
It's just a P or K deficiency. Can't tell from the pics, but it'll all be fine if you add a bit more of nutes. Seedlings and clones are not the same thing. Clones have a faster metabolism, to which they were used to from the mother plant, so they need a bit more nutes to actually keep going. Seedlings have a slow metabolism and need little nutes before they mature.

I think the guy at the hydro store is got you on the right track... No nutes just ride it out for now... From those pics i noticed that you may have a ph problem or you over nuted... I m leaning to ph is off somewhere.. You got burnt tips and slight ramhorning with N deficiency. Too much PK not enough N... Either way best thing you could do is flush em and ride it out..
Also focus on the new growth for now, |

Thanks guys,
I appreciate the support. I ended up raising my light a few inches, letting them sit for a day, then flushed with RO water, and have been giving them the Canna Nutes as directed and they couldn't really look much better. Granted this will be my first pull, and really the first time I've ever seen marijuana plants growing period, but everything seems to be about perfect. I'm sure the clones just needed a couple days to de-stress, consider it rookie paranoia I suppose. Thanks for all the advice and good luck on those crops, pimps. |
