hi all, the seedling is about three weeks old, indoors. the first set of true leaves on both sides have stated to turn black starting from the tips. its in a soil mix i buy at a local store, i have never fed the plant, could it be a deficiency???

it could be alot of things, give us more info! temps? how often do you water?what lights? how good is airflow? does the soil come pre-nuted? ph level?

temps are naturally around in the low 90's where i live. i have it in a small box with a 35 cfm computer fan. When i water i get the whole pot wet, i wait untill it syarts dripping from the bottom, every other day. i dont have a ph tester, but maybe this afternoon i can get some from my brother who has some in his house, but hes a 1 hour train ride from here. i have 4 23w 2700K and 2 26w 6500K. i dont know if the soil is pre nuted ill check and post the info as soon as i get my ass off the chair!

the soil only says it has peat moss, top soil, foam and organic materials

dont water till the top 2 inches of soil feels dry when u put your finger in it. we need to know the temp inside your grow box itself, one pc fan probally wont cut it if ur temps naturally reach 90 degrees a day its gonna be hot as hell in there with all the lights going.

that dirt looks weird man, like orange and slimy. I've never seen dirt look like that before. It even looks like there's a couple minituare grapes under the plant in one of the pics. wth?

the tems where my plants are sitting are at 88, outside its at 86. its still early morning

i had just watered when i took the picture it was prettty wet, thats why it looks slimy. is there a soil you guys reccomend i buy that i can find in home depot, wal mart or any large retail. i dont live in the U.S. but those stores are common here

well, i think you may be overwatering. my big lesson from my last grow is to water less amounts, but more often. If you're completely soaking the pot ever other day, it's probably locked up from too much moisture. Plus the strange dirt thing.

If they're like the same stores in my area, there only gonna have Miracle Grow and maybe Shultz if you're lucky, but they're both made by the same company and neither are that great for marijuana. I ordered my mediums online, a 5kg bale of coco and jiffy peat plugs. If you don't have a hydro store anywhere close, it's pretty much buy online or settle for less.
