From my understanding of damping off, all of these clones have Pythium. Light to dark brown, black, purple (fatal fungus) at the base of the stem... I've also seen a few pics with a little white at the base of the stem.
I don't have any experience with this and would really appreciate any help diagnosing this issue. Peace |

Pic 8 looks the worst. Probably damping off. I'd recut then and put them into some drier pellets. The pellets look too moist. Allow the pellets to dry out a bit more between watering - you really need to convince the clones they need to put down roots to survive.

It doesn't look like #2 can be re-cut, the purple is running up most of the stem? Any opinions? Also, I picked up #1 and #2 yesterday at a local dispensary, so if they both have pythium, I feel like I should take them back. Thanks again. Peace |

Just let the pellets dry out. The cuttings can't take nutes up yet - they have no roots - and it only increases the risk of fungal attacks as the pellets are constantly wet. Don't give nutes until you can see a fair amount of white roots coming out the bottom of the pellets.

I'm still curious about #1 and #2. Is the purple lines running up the stem in PIC #2 Pythium? Doesn't seem like it but? It's an sfv og, if it matters. Peace Last edited by jsntexas; 08-29-2009 at 04:05 PM.. |

Today, I noticed a little algae growing on the gro-blocks. I know algae forms with light, moisture, and a little heat, but unfortunately waiting for a few more cuts. Seems like they should all be transplanted at once.
Will Algae hurt the plants? Should they be transplanted to new gro-blocks or killed with a product? Also, I noticed coloration differences on some of the clones. The 2nd image has one that seems healthy besides one that has the discoloration. Does anyone know why this is happening and if I should do or stop something to correct it? I really appreciate any advice and help with these issues. Peace |

Seems like ur freakin over nothin really. I mean they're purple but has growth stopped? Leafs dying? Any problems with the plants function (not look) ? I have seedlings pop purple and the stem will stay tha. Way sometimes. If there nothing else wrong just grow in. As for the algae :202 or the like shoulkd get rid of it algae has an appetite for 902 so it will effect growth in that way and many others if u let it get out of hand
