Hey bro, no offense at all but, I think you may be over analyzing a bit. I've been growin for a while now and have extensive experience w/ clones (from dispensary's too) and have never come across pythium. Not to say it can't happen. Disp. won't take anything back from my experience unless you buy say 100's of clones a week. Those look pretty normal to me.

As far as the algae goes you can cover the top of blocks w/ cut-out squares of white poly. Shops will sell you equivelent. Shops will sell anything if you buy it.

I might be erkelsgoo420... Half of them seem to be healthy, but the rest have slow growth, their half the size or less than the rest. And the discoloration doesn't seem normal. Should they be grown out b/c this is normal or not a big deal? I just want to understand, thanks for any advice.

How do you recommend getting rid of the algae so it won't effect growth?

None taken DH, I've been known to do that... I was concerned b/c a majority of them were kept under a dome for way too long. The discoloration on the 2nd & 3rd pic in post #8, is that normal? I appreciate the advice and any in the future.

This happens when the medium STAYS wet.Youll notice if the plant starts to shed skin on the stalk like a banana,itll just peel off.YOull notice the stalk etting thinnier in one spot..ID transplant them into sumthin more dry,or let it dry and dont water as much,but id transplant.

First things first you must be growing in a hydro system if not why are the plants not in soil.I would let the plants dry compleatly out so they are bang dry this inturn will kill the mould when you do feed only feed very little till the problem is sorted.Are you so that it is some kind of fungus and the things that you are seeing at the base of the stem are not just realy young breather roots.Most plants have roots that will grow on the out side of the soil and the light don't effect them this may be what you are seeing.If you are growing in soil get them in a 80% compost 20%perlite.

nah bra those aint no breather roots or whatever,thats t he beginning of a bad problem..Let the medium dry out then re water.

Thanks to everyone who responded, I really appreciate it.

Here is what I did:
- cut out the sections of rockwool that had any signs of algae growth
-covered all the rockwool cubes with white-poly cut-outs
-let the cubes dry out completely
-re-cut

I am still curious about the discoloration, but I'm guessing it's nothing significant.
