I'm reading almost every waking hour, there are so many different things to try. I might top my smaller plant this time as an experiment and see how different the results are I'm just trying to get the basics right though, I really wanna make these babies grow to be big and tasty

I know, it's just me being silly. I'm like a new father, way too protective of them, a mate/fellow grower came over to look at my babies, he was treating them like any normal garden plant, pulling them about and I was just thinking, shit is he gonna hurt them? LOL I really haven't grown anything else without help ever, so, it's hard to know what's ok. But I'm trying and things seem to be better than my early attempts now. My mate was impressed with what I had grown only using CFLs, I hope I can keep them happy and healthy now. Time for bed me thinks, night folks.

see nothing at the bottom, all trimmed up nice, so all the plants energy goes to the middle and top, THE BUSINESS END.

That's what I was thinking too, have a backup plan for my first attempt.

Thanks mate, I've subscribed and I'll read through it in the morning.

My friend was saying he would top them right now and change them to 12/12 in about 3 weeks, but I'm still pretty alarmed at the idea of cutting part of the plant off, he's supposed to be coming back soon, so I'll wait until Sunday night. I was thinking about taking a couple of cuttings, letting them root then veg for a few weeks and just put them in to flower at the same time as the two main plants, another chance to try something new.
