Question Never had this problem with Blueberry clones
Usually my clones look great apart from some yellowing which Im sure is standard but now the new set of leaves are beginning to crumble & wither they are also turning in to a slight pale yellowy green colour with dark brown blotches. I just dont know why. Here are the environment conditions & pics:

25C
80%rh min
Plain unPHed tap water with a little superthrive
2inches away from 2 x 18W fluorescents.

First planted the clones in rootriot then transferred to Biobizz soil (light mix) when roots showed, they are currently in the first day of veg. Id like for them to pick up in a week then theyll go in to flowering.

The below pics are larger clones which were cut on 16/07/09 which are also in Biobizz soil (light mix) but I thought Id try out these Jiffy pots, Ive heard by using these pots they can become root bound so now Im not so sure. But we will see. the new leaves are also beginning to crumble, discolour (pale green & dark brown). Why is this happening?

I am having similar reactions with the same strain... lately.

You should check your Ph before, and the clear drainage after.
During heavy rain your municipal water source is flooded with
extra run off. This can cause fluctuations in your tap water's Ph.

My tap water fluctuates from 6.8 - 7.6 within a day or two of rain.

I am planning on using RO'ed water for all my clones from now on.

Good luck.

Are these already rooted? Maybe you media is a little too moist? I just tried out Oliva's on my last batch of clones and it saved them. I've already bought more its a great product a seems to be more effective than any other cloning gels or solutions I've used. I would lower the humidity also at 80% you are encouraging rot.

I have heard varying views on this when it comes to cloning in this forum.

Some say RH should be upwards of 80-90%, because the clones have no root systems yet.

Others say that RH that high encourages plants to rot or mold, and should be more around 60-70%.

Can anybody confirm one of these claims, or is it just personal preference?

Not to thread jack, this seems relevant to your problem.

I never use a humidity dome on my clones it has only caused problems. I think I should post my own cloning tutorial. I'll be taking about 170 cuttings here soon so it's the perfect opportunity to take plenty of pics.

I watch them carefully if they look stressed I mist them once ore twice daily. The humidity in my area is usually between 35-40% pretty low but my clones seem to have no problems rooting; some cuttings take a bit longer than others but that is normal.

Yes you should definitely do that.

My RH sits around 50-60% and I would love to see a cloning tutorial with relatively low RH.

Thanks guys,
The clones are rooted & the dome has been of since yesterday, the soil was dry this morning so I watered at 6.5 PH hopefully theyll pick soon.

Lights are too close for new clones. Keep just like one bulb 2 ft above them for the first week or so. Until they start actually growing well. I do 24 hours as well for the first 4+ days after clones first take root. Then put on full strength lights and lower em.

Sorry I forgot about that, last night was kind of crazy all my mothers were chopped it took three people two hours to take all the cuttings. I've got some pictures of the cuttings posted on my grow journal. The link is in my sig line.

They are in a 72 site jiffy cell trays filled with peat moss. The bottom tray is filled with olivia's cloning solution. I gave them about 4 hours of low light before moving them to a more shaded area of my grow room under 1000w of hps running 24hrs. I mist them twice a day with olivia's, that's about it.
