Spider Mite Infestation. Harvest Time. Few Questions.

Yes, its harvest time and spider mites snuck up on me and infested the garden. Luckily, they mostly have made webbing under the leaves and have just started come to the buds in some areas.

My questions are as follows (and yes, i have done lots of reading already, and have been growing over 3 years - this being first encounter with mites :( ):

So, if I just harvest now and cut off all the mites i see - will the mites vacate the plant as it dries, or will they die inside the buds? I plan to hang them.

Also, will the mites live in my house if i trim in another room. Am I inviting trouble? I hear that mites have to feed on living plants, so if there are no plants, i dont see how they will live.

I did consider fogging them, but i instead opted to just harvest a tad early as opposed to a chemical bomb.

Thanks

No help???
Do you use CO2? You can release it into your room making sure the concentration stays high 3000 + ppm for at least an hour, preferably longer to let it dissapate out, do not stay in area obviously, go run errands come back and open all doors/windows before opening your room, let it air out. This will destroy the little bastards!

CO2 is suppose to work for alot of bugs, paintball gun tanks are about 10$ to fill and will be more than enough to kill spider mites.

releasing the gas by screwing the tank onto the gun without a rubber gasket (seal), the CO2 will spray (leak) out until u remove the tank from the gun. i suggest wearing oven mitts cause it will get cold. the elevated CO2 level will poison the spider mites. i wouldnt suggest doing this without a gun cause CO2 is under ALOT of pressure.

I Had The same problem what I did was bought me some lady bugs they eat mites I ended up getting all the mites after they were all gone the lady bugs died hope this helped.
