Pollen cant turn other plants hermie, only stress and genetics can do that... If thats true, then if you have 99 plants in a room and one of them turns hermie, are you saying its nothing to worry about (no need to remove from room) and it wont affect the other 98 plants?? info please?

The reason why I'm making it so confusing is because my "Church" plant is really healthy, looking really good, but because its an unstable feminized strain the plant turned hermie on me in flowering. I've been taking every seed pod off by hand when I see them, and my original question was if hermie plants produce pollen sacks as well, which could potentially ruin my whole flowering room. So far I've only seed seed pods and nothing at all having to do with pollen. Am I suppose to be expecting some pollen sacks forming? AKA get the plant to China?
I'm doing a Sea of Green, so I have stuff on a perpetual cycle and finishing at all different times... and if I leave a hermie in there that's pollenating then I'm going to be shit out of luck for a long time, and I'd ruin all of my high-grade plants that I've worked so hard and long on. Does anyone know if a hermie plant, being hermie from the strain being feminized (like what I have), is a real threat to my 100% raging females? Or am I just going to have some seeds in my bud? If my questions were answered already then my apologies; however could someone make this more clear to me? Pollen, or no? To be or not to be, that is the question

The only problem you will have is seeds,my advice to you is if you have plenty of plants growing I would sacrifice it,being that it is a pain in the ass to be chopping pods everyday and chancing having seeds when you can have some killer sensimilla.Don't clone off that plant either, because the clones will have the exact genetic make up as it's mother.

If let to pollinate your other plants, your other plants will be come infested with seeds (depending on how much pollen) and it will not grow the"big buds" everyone wants. After a plant has been pollinated it focuses on seed production not defense systems (Trichromes). Basically your plant will stop producing more calyx's, which is bud.
You can let your plant grow out and take what it has as long as you keep up the pollen sack removal. Make sure you get all of them if your trying to get some fine sensimilla. That church is pretty good, I had it for awhile. But there are way better strains out there so don't be sad if you can't keep it. |

You guys need to see pictures of this thing to believe it. I'm about to take some, one sec.
There's no pollen sacks, that's what I'm trying to say. This isn't a hermie from a male plant's pollen, this is a female turned hermie's genetics. It's just seedy bud. Does anyone have first-hand experience with feminized strains gone hermie, having any pollen, or rather not having any pollen? Pics coming soon... |

I know exactly what you mean. I got the idea the first time you said it. I didn't know there wasn't much for pollen though. If your not worried about a few seeds then let it go. But you were saying you didn't want to have your "high-grade plants that I've worked so hard and long on" to be degraded. Well, anything with a seed isn't sensimilla. As that is what sensimilla means, to grow without seed.
So, yes I do have experience growing hermy plants. The bud usually tastes like crap cause the genetics are so fucked. You get seeds all in your shit, cause there are pollen sacks hiding inside big nugs. It's nothing you want to clone to try to keep. Grow it out, smoke it/sell it/rub it all over your feet I dont care. |

okay so to sum it up...
a single hermie plant could potentially spread its pollen to nearby female plants and turn them into hermies as well... correct ?
