Default Warped and Curling Leaves- looked on faq/search but nothing like it :(- help plz!
I have looked on the FAQ and done a pile of searches but i was unable to find any other previous problems like my own. This plant has a bunch of curling and warping at its newer growth areas. alot of the node growth is carrying this trend. Its irritating me bc i know its stressing the plant. I've been spraying it with safe soap, pyrethrin based soap and definitely not overwatering. She's only been fed once by chemicals, but she has osmocote and manure in her soil.

The soil itself is nice and dry on the surface and has plenty of perlite/dolomite for the ph, which i havent tested for a while but i really dont think is the problem as it resembles some other soils i use for diff plants without the same problem. Really, this plants the only one with this problem to the extent that it concerns me. SO...does anyone know what the problem is?

please help and i promise ++rep to anyone who can solve the problem

nah i never used the stuff. only a pyrethrin daisy based insecticide and a safer soap soln. Once again, this plant is among others with an identical environment and its the only one doing this to such an extent.

don't know what it is but the best thing for you to do is to remove those osmocote things, then do a full flush of the soil. Place a small stole into a 30 gal bucket, place the plant pot on top of the stole then just keep running it with water, make sure your water your rinsing it is ph adjusted, after you see clear water coming out the bottom your done and give it some superthrive and a very light nute mix 1-1-1.

thanks for the response, but im not sure what purpose a flush will serve in this situation. Why do you think this is a problem that can be flushed out or for that matter even in the soil?

thanks for the input nonetheless but i need some clarity on your logic.

thanks

well flushing is the solution to all problems. Flushing won't tackle 1 problem it will be like starting from new again. So maybe if you can't find a solution to fix those warping you can always flush as your final resort if you don't want too.

uhhh...no it's not.

I've had the same issue as motox. generally it is from something(idk what) coming in contact with the leaf, causing it to warp as it grows. just protect your baby from environmental hazards and it should be fine. it is not a deficiency or an overdose. so don't change your nutrient/watering schedule.

of caurse you have to think about it, flushing doesn't solve environmental issues anybody would know that.

you refer to "something" coming into contact with my plants and then suggest that i should protect her from "environemental hazards". Now are you thinking more along the lines of a fungus, insect or 'other'. And by protection im assuming you mean sprays liek the ones ive been using?

I see that you are more familiar with indoor grows, can i assume that is where the problem occured when you encountered it? How long did it take for the problem to correct itself and what, if any, measures did you take for this problem?

thanks a ton,

mt
