Hey man your plant looks good. For a 1st grow I'd even say it looks GREAT! Perfection is not possible. Strive for it of course, but be realistic at the same time. The yellowing is normal for its age and size. It's telling you that its time too start feeding though. I dont know how you are checking your PH, but any significant problems you MAY encounter will likely be a result of improper PH. To keep it in check throughout your grow (PH WILL change over time as a natural result of soil chemistry) I recommend you get a digital PH meter. Not those cheesy color-coded ones. Do you have a plan for administering some fertilizers. if not its time to get a plan, and you'll need a good PH meter for that. Also, you mentioned a boiler room? That doesn't sound like a good home for a MJ plant. Make sure you have good fresh air 24/7 and good circulation and temps. Peace.

thanks man its a real confidence boost to hear theyre doing well.. i didnt know leaves were supposed to go yellow and drop off thought that was side effect from h.p.s or m.h bulbs but ill move them out of boiler room c how they get on.. also i was given a tester for free from a friend with tube, solution and card with colours on it so ive only just started to check ph 2 days ago, will b investing in digital wednesday and on the feeding plan i was going to use rock guano with an extra k suppliment (tho not sure what to use) think ive missed veg feeding as preflowers are starting to show (can c hairs already clearly) any links or help in feeding area would be much appreciated but again thanks for taking time out to help

oh and i leave door open on boiler room during day (have small fan running 24/7) air circulation shouldnt be a problem just temps i think.... usually around 24*c (bare minimum) to 30*c (on a hot day while hot water is bein used) tho again any thoughts on this would be greatfully taken in

Well i dont want you to get the wrong idea. I wouldn't say that they're "supposed to", you could have prevented it by starting feeding a little sooner. But under the circumstances its normal and not a huge issue. Its got nothing to do with the bulbs. Like I said its just a sign of hunger. More specifically a nitrogen deficiency.

There are so many different ways to go about feeding your plants, I won't just say get this, or use that. Educate yourself on what the plants need and at what stage of growth they need it. Then see what is available to you. (i obviously have no clue where you are or what stores or garden shops, or....?)
I will say that Fox Farms products are extremely popular and proven. I am currently using them. Mainly because I kind of lucked out and have a store right down the road that has them. They are not cheap.
Also, i have to say this - there is a difference between CHEMICAL fertilizer and ORGANIC fertilizer. They both will work. But one of them is better. WAYYYY better. Better for you, better for the plant, better for the environment. This is NOT my opinion, this is pure 100% scientifically proven FACT. And I will NOT respond to anyone who says differently. again thank you so much for taking time to fill me in, at the minute i have only read about the nutrients needed for troubleshooting purposes (defs) and the N:P:K ratios of soil etc.. not what to use specifically at what times but i will take your advice and get to reading to get clued up.. (my bro reccomended i get greg greens grow bible so im looking into that while typing on here) i have just ordered a growell catalogue and will most definatly be buying the rock guano (just have to suppliment K somehow but will read about that in a minute) if i do run into more problems i will of course post here but think ive just about got the answers i need

sorry to b a pain in the ass but should i prune any yellowing leaves or do they still contribute to photosynthesis?? apart from looking horrible i wasnt sure if they still did anything for the plant or would just get worse and use energy until they died or i chopped them off

My ass feels fine. And besides I'm trying to teach myself how to type LOL
There are a few different schools of thought when it comes to pruning yellow leaves. I say if they're low on the plant let em fall off naturally, if they are shading any green leaves get them outta the way so the green ones get light. Also pruning lower yellow leaves can help air circulation under the canopy.
