Default Girls Dont Look Very Happy ... Over nutes?
hello everyone,
Well this morning when I woke up to my girls, they werent looking very happy at all. After a closer look they seem to have some kind of burn marks on the leaves or something. Is it over nutrients (1/2 strength) or foilage burn (spray water and CFL was too close)? I'm not sure what it is but very concern. I thought they were under nutrients because of the light green colour. If someone please help out a fellow member it would be greatly appreciated. Any words or advice at this time will be very imformative.

Upon checking on the girl, this is what I saw

A few shots after a closer inspection *sigh*

My water method is nutes, water, nutes, water etc. Two days ago I feed her with nutes, yesterday was water. Today I was worried so I just feed her water. I hope I didnt mess anything up somehow or another. Here's my girls after feed and foilage spray. They look a little droopy.

I would suggest more ventilation and less nutes.
What are you foliar spraying with?

More ventilation Sure Shot?

I have a small 6" for my 200 cfl light and 10" for the breeze on my girls.

And as for foilar spray...good old water only nothing else.

My gf was saying that I was placing the light too close. I thought there was no such thing as too much light but I guess there is? I'm not sure still researching.

You don't need to spray them. The water droplets can magnify the light and cause burns. Most of the time, cfl's shouldn't be a problem if they're close;yours is big, so I'd say try about 4 inches, hold your hand underneath for 30 seconds and that will tell you how hot it gets. How often are you watering? What's your ph?How often do you nute?

Well, that's circulation not ventilation.
What are you using to exhaust old air out of your room?

No need to spray them? magnified droplets causes burns? damnit! Common sense should of kicked in DUH!

Yea I usually place them at 4 inches high (25 degress canopy) But today I place the lamp 8 inches away. Less heat and stress for them?

I water once everyday in the morning, nute(1/2 strength) one day and just water the next day with a ph level of 6.5.

I think is might be the water droplets burning them because of the close lights and the unecessary foilar sprayage. If it was the nutes, would all or more of them be damaged?

Nothing as of now because they're still young.

Its in a closet with the door open 24/7. So I hope thats enough ventilation. I sometime stand there swinging the door, to vent or bring in some air. LMAO

Ok.Too much watering.Only water when the soil is dry.Works out to about every three or so days for me.Only nute like every third water. You're overdoing nutes, too.As long as your light isn't actually burning your hand from four inches away, keep it there, cfl's aren't very effective far away.
Now, here's what you do. Let them dry out a bit, maybe a couple of days. Then, flush each plant with some plain water. To do this, you use 3 times as much water as the size of the container. So if you have a one gallon pot, you'd use three gallons water. It's easiest to do this in a tub or shower because it can get messy.Let them drain so you don't dribble water all over and place them back under the lights. Then let the soil get dry to about an inch in before you water again. Only use plain water until they recover.Post some pics with an update in a few days.

OK before we go any further maybe I screwed up in the very begining?
I mixed my potting soil with perlite (50/50) and a handfull of vercillium. I dont know weather this has anything to do with my problem but I would like to state that first.
Is it too much watering because when I check every morning its dry. I cultivate it and it feels complete dry. Thats why I mention about the perlite, maybe too much? And when I mean dry I mean dry dry, they're thirsty right? I dont want to deprived them of water, but I know drying out is part of root development.
Your watering method is different eh? Water, water, nute, water, water, etc. Never tried it like that. I would be interested in tryin it ASAP but would it affect my girls rite now? If not I'm down with this method.
One last problem? My girls are in 4 inch jiffy cups right now. How can I flush them LMAO
The cup holds the water and gets all soggy and wont flush it completely?

"Plain water until they recovery" I'll rememver that Thanks Stoney McFried

I would think about installing some fan in your ceiling to constantly pull air out.
Other then that, Stoney is right with the flush.
