Default Apparent slow growth - please offer opinions.
Friends - this is my first grow and I've run in to several problems.

In a nutshell, this bagseed (from a bag of some DANKITY DANK DANK) was germinated, sprouted and planted on Friday, April 10.

It reached out from its moist, dark home the following Sunday.

Since then, it has grown... minimally. The true leaves still haven't shown any serious growth and remain lime green in color, with the inside finally becoming dark.

The soil is more or less as follows - and yes, I know MG Organic wasn't the best choice.. but we do what we can with what we have, no?
  • 2 Gal MG Organic Soil (not potting)
  • 1/2 Gal Worm Castings
  • 1 Gal Perlite (which I'm upping because I wonder if moisture retention has become an issue.)
  • 2 cups Blood Meal
  • 2 Cups Bone Meal
  • 1/3 cup Epsom Salts
  • 1 cup Lime
It may be important to note that the first 1.5 inches of my soil is plain ol' MG Organic. That way when the plant is ready for nutes, it's roots will reach for them - but it won't die from being planted in a hotbed. Literally.

I have room for plenty more lights, but for now - the top light is a 40w 5000K bulb. The two on the left side are 26W 6500K CFLs.

The lights are on 19/5 and while the lights are on the fan you see is blowing humid air at them.

I now plan to keep the fan on 24/7.

The temperature has ranged from 73* at night to 83* in the evening. Before yesterday, the normal humidity in the room was at about 38%. I purchased a humidifier yesterday and it now sits at 63% - which, if I understand correctly, is an improvement.

I've stuck to a watering schedule of every 3 days, which I'm now changing because I'm worried about the water retention of the soil. Less is more, I suppose.

The only reason I'm truly concerned with this grow is because (1) the plant hasn't shown signs of growth since sprouting and (2) I just lost a plant [to what I now believe is overwatering], and their seedling leaves curled in a similar fashion.

Note that the discoloration on the seedling leaves is not a result of flash, but is in fact how the plant looks. Is this an issue?

Any ideas as to what I can do to improve my growth?

Yours in Toke,

- Grolog

Now less than 24 hours later - the leaves are beginning to brown and curl up. It looks very dry, though the humidity is at 73%. What in the hell is going on? :P
