Help! Found some weird TINY bugs on leaves

Ok, I will do my best to describe them. Very small. I mean, about as wide in diameter as an eyelash, maybe two eyelashes thick, they seem to move like a worm, inching along, and they are yellow, or white, or a whitish-yellow, like inside a banana. Also, I have noticed little black spots on some leaves, and some shiny spotting, which I thought may have been splash from watering, like maybe the nutrients in the water were causing it, but I have also read that those are both indicators of pests.. The black dots, and the shininess.. anyway, I would post pics but my camera sucks, and I doubt it would even see them. They are small. I pulled a couple leaves and only found 1 per leaf, but, I finally pulled a leaf off of the very bottom of one plant, and there were about 5-6 of them. They like to sit in the middle of the blades of leaves. Other than that, my garden looks great, very nice and green, so I haven;t been too worried about it, just keeping an eye on them. Also, I have had fungus gnats for the past couple rounds, and they haven't seemed to be that big of a deal, so I just let them go. There just aren't that many, and the plants look good, so I don't really do anything about them.. Ive been thinking of nematodes, but I don't know where to get them other than online. Any help would be much appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

oh, and I also thought maybe they could be fungus gnat larvae, but I have never heard or read of them being on the leaves, just in the soil. I thought maybe thrips, but, they dont seem to have wings, and there arent any other flying pests other than the fungus gnats.

you got the dreaded spidermites bro. don't wanna be a downer but they are almost impossible to get rid of. although you can still get a nice harvest if you act right away. get yourself some quality pest agent, there are many threads around here that instruct on dealing with spidermites. best of luck

The black critters sound like Spider Mites and their eggs, the Yellow one maybe aphids or whiteflys. I am dealing with Mites rite now and can recommend Neem Oil. It seems to work very well. Just go through and squash all the bugs you see and spray the shit out of the underside of them with your Neem oil solution. I have never dealt with aphids or whiteflys, I just saw pictures of them in my bible and they sound like what you are describing, so I really can't say for sure. I would assume the Neem oil would take care of them as well, but don't quote me on it.

neem oil or pyrethryn are your only good option against mites. If you want to get rid of mites spray with neem once a week forever and ever and ever and ever, and on the 4th of never, they'll stop coming back. But neem keeps them from harming your plants, and living longer than a breif second afte rthe egg hatches, oh and the leaves love neem like a fat kid loves cake.

I know what mites are, and these aren't mites. If you do have mites, use floramite. Or flouramite. Anyway, it's pretty expensive, but it worked for me with just one application. I'm trying this stuff called Avatrol, or Azitrol, can't remember, it's in the other room. Anyway, it's supposed to be almost as good as floramite. I am pretty sure I have thrips.

Oh, yeah, I saw a couple more of them today, and they were jumping around. Still really effin small. Mites are more round in the body (thorax?), these things are long, like, hotdog shaped, or something. But, not as big as a hotdog, of course.. Damn, that would be scary...

Ok, I think I have thrips. I found a pretty big one and looked at it througha jewelers lens. It was an opaque-clear greyish color with black spots, a segmented body, and they jump. And it was long, not round like mites.

I just found the same thing in my garden. Have you found anything that helps yet? Did the avatrol work or have you tried the neem oil?

i just posted about red dust on leaves and stems. This is what i could see with naked eye, but when i put a 30x microscope on the dust, I saw it is actually a shit load of microscopic worms. I have been battling it for awhile, and until now i thought it was a mold that was causing it(red dust). These microscopic worms devastate the crops. They attack the lower buds and completly ruin them, by making them hard and waxy(with no crystalization). I have been trying to research this but i have had no luck. I just want to know what they are! they are not mites(had them before). thrips have wings, and nematodes are supposed to beneficial.. otherwise they best represent a nematode.lol.. very frustrating! good luck
