Symptoms: brown spots that originated in the lower fan leaves and have taken over my plants.
Causes: -Mold? -Mag/Cal? -Root Rot? -?! Initially I thought it to be a disease/mold in my room (as my water clones grew mold on the stems before they rooted I have read too much Mg causes too little Ca? And that mg can definitely be over done. Should I use more or less mg? Or more Ca? Also, I believe the rootbound combination with over water may have developed root rot. I have been watering with hydrogen peroxide, however. Could this be the cause of the spotting? Seriously need some help here... thanks... Pics! Last edited by scragelynugz; 03-29-2009 at 07:41 PM.. |

Sorry to repeat post. But bump for info and some more information while im at it:
soil grow, transplanted from 2 gallon, to 5 gallon buckets, fertilizing with 10-3-1 guano, 20-10-20 orchid food, a little root stimulator, and a dose/or 2 of epsom salt.... like I said before, several months old.... under a 400w mh, then 600 hps, now 1000hps |

looks like it could be over watered. is that bucket heavy when you lift it? you need to let it fully dry out between watering.

hey nugz. I've missed you in my grow journal, welcome back.
I've learned to keep it simple. most of my troubles have originated from over watering. but, also, from water related stuff, like water being too cold or ph being off...combine those two and you'll be in trouble within just a few weeks. I'd say over watering in combination with being root bound was your initial problem. a transplanting tip for a root bound plant is to take some scissors and cut the bottom of the root ball a bit when it's between pots. this will terminate the circular growing pattern caused by a small pot and stimulate new root growth. you may need to cut the sides a bit also, if you really see lots of roots growing in circles. for now, I'd stop watering-make em beg for it...and cut back on your nutes, until the plant has recovered.(the spots will not go away, it just won't get worse or appear on more leaves...but, it may take a week or two) good luck. I'll check back to see if you got it under control later...
