Default I know what my problem is, now I need to know how to fix it....
My ph is very acidic in my soil grow. By very acidic I mean it bottoms out my tester when I stick it in the soil so its below 3.5. I know this is a major problem and I need to know how to fix it right now. If you could please give me some ideas on how to fix it now and prevent it from happening in the future I would be grateful. I've posted eight questions on RIU and I rarely get much help to be honest. I think the veteran growers need to step it up a little and answer more of the questions without pics posted with them. Some of us out here are just too paranoid to put pics of their grow on the net. Some of us have alot to lose if things went south. So come on guys, I'm just trying to make the same wonderful smoke you are and its dieing right in front of me. I have alot of time, money and effort put into this and its breaking my heart to see my babies looking so so sad. How the hell can I get the ph back up?

the reason most veteran's dont answer is because of dumb smart ass know it all new posters that just aint worth the hassle to fight.
some fine dolomite lime added to ur top layer of soil will help buffer ur ph and keep it stable around 7. sell at home depot for like $4.00.

you need some ph up and ph down which u can pick up at wallmart or an aquarium. baking soda works but not the best. ur nutes are prob very acidic so try a good plain water with ph balanced 7 water for now and add the lime.

Well thank you very much. sorry I had to be a smart ass to finally get an answer. And as far as having to fight this new poster, maybe you should do your homework and see that I've never had a disagreement with anyone on here. I'm not gonna put up a fight or disagree with anything you or anyone else says cause I'm new to this. I'm asking questions so I can gain knowledge, not to pick a fight.

So should I flush them?

I would think that a lot do not answer questions like yours without pic is for fear of misdiagnoses. It is so easy to tell you to do one thing and be completely wrong because of your description or because of there misunderstanding. Many plant problems are very similar and misdiagnoses could just be exasperating your problems. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you are worried about being busted because of posting pics of your grow on here, then head to a library, internet cafe, whatever..... However, do not expect everyone to know all about your plant problems with a few word description. You need to step up too and get the pics posted if you expect an answer.

woah dude, I wasnt talking about you. I was talking about others who make replies to posts who think they know everything but know very little. the other poster here makes a good point.
flushing is an option but you need the lime and you need to account for the low ph to make adjustments to your water before you do so.

My bad man. I thought you were giving me a hard time in a moment when i only needed help.

Will transplanting into bigger pots help them after I get the ph right? they are in their seventh week of flower, bag seed trial run. i'm a virgin to this. And to prevent it from happening next grow I should add lime to my soil? At what ratio?

I agree with you demon. In my case I already diagnosed the problem finding out that the ph was WAY low with my meter so I don't think I needed to post a pic. I simply needed to know how to get it corrected. On the other hand I'm not a hundred percent what caused the problem in the first place but I think I over nuted. Its my first time, be gentle...LOL. I have been using miracle grow from walmart for veg and superbloom from lowes in flower. After researching I think the middle number is too high in the superbloom, its 55. I thought the more the better but obviously thats not the case. And I was using it every other watering. Anyway, thanks for your guys help. I might get the balls to post a pic or two one day. Peace.

I wouldnt transplant them now. usually first or second week of flowering is the latest you would want to. fine dolomite lime 1 cup per gallon, also some perlite or vermiculite will help tremendously. I would say to skip the store brand ferts and opt for something a little more to MJ liking like Foxfarm. The store nutes are designed for heavier fruit bearing plants that require lots of ferts, which mj does not. so if u think they r overferted they probably are. at seven weeks, maybe a good time to flush.
