Below are pictures of my plants over the last 10 days. They are growing in a closet. High heat and low humidity have been a problem since the beginning, however, I have been on top of it leaving the closet door open (and yes I am already working on a new location with more space). I neglected to open the door one day and they were a little overdue on watering. I saw quite a bit of yellowing afterwords and assumed I had stressed them a bit. The yellowing got worse and then I started seeing spots. And if that wasn't bad enough, I also noticed tiny little spider webs in the crux of the leaves and along the edges. I don't think heat and a little dryness is causing all of this especially as it got worse after I watered and lowered the temps so I have a new theory.

I looked at some stickies here and a little online reading. I think my yellowing and spotting has more to do with deficiencies than anything else. I watered regularly without adding fertilizer because I was using Miracle Grow soil. The plants did great vegging and the first three weeks of flowering they doubled in height and volume and looked great as good be. And then all of a sudden this started happening.

I also used MG on my first grow and didn't have deficiencies, but the final product had an off taste even after flushing. The difference between the two grows is that the second grow had bigger plants and smaller pots than the first grow. I think the first grow had MG all the way through and the flushing only activated more of it leaving the bad taste. The second grow with bigger plants and smaller pots exhausted the MG before the plants were done.

I started adding nutrients to the water and I think it is helping, but it is hard to say. I lost several lower leafs and since the plants are in a flowering state I am guessing these won't grow back or grow other new leafs to replace them. I also sprayed the plants with a light bleach solution to kill the spider mites (again advice from a sticky here).

Should I keep limping along or do something more drastic? The plants seem stressed enough as it is. I would think the soil should be OK now that the MG is burned out and I am supplying the nutrients. And I am all done with MG or any other medium that has timed release fertilizer built into it.

Checked on the plants again. I believe they are improving but it is hard to say. I see yellow leaves on the bottom with big green veins but I am not sure if that is new green in old yellow or new yellow and old green. I made some notes this time and I will keep checking from day to day.

While checking I did notice fresh webs. I think I am just going to manually clean them each day from now on until the plants get healthier. I hate to be too aggressive and dose with bleach again and end up killing the plant.
