ok ill spray them now. when i used the rockwool i gottem wet then squeezed them till they were moist. dont wantem to wet right cause they wont root. but i saw u need to mist them lightly
Ya, you don't want to have them to soaked with stale water. They won't get any fresh oxygen. That is the main thing and what can cause the problems.
I usually pinch the tops after the 3rd or 4th node. These got extra time in veg and had to be trimmed more to keep the height down since my flower area wasn't ready for them. Once the branches had 3 or 4 I would pinch again. One of those was topped when it went into flower also. Again because of height. It did work out good though, lots of bud for their size. Looks like half the plant weight is bud.
i think i get it. u keep topping and trimming at say set height for what u want. and it bushes out instead of up. I should have done this to them all. the 1 I topped is the best plant by far. so just top the fuck out of them pretty much.
and what do u mean by pinching, what does that do?
They deffinatly need nutrients such as duch master gold. I sudgest that in the two part system because it has worked well with me. You also need a new reflector. The one you have now is just dispersing light poorly and creating heat pockets which are not good for the plant.

hey hash i bought the 42 CFL and put in thoses littles babies..let see whats gonna happen...about my meter ..no i dont have one i thought i could do with out...do you think i really need one meter now?? about the nuter i just was wondering how much you mix water and nutes ...for vege and flower ...i got the GH nutes ..but i cant figure out the charts ...like:
simple recirculating schedule
expert recirculating schedule
simple drain to waste schedule
expert draing to waste schedule...
so that's why im so confuse...please let me know the simple way to use thoses guys for vege and flowering stage ....thanks

ive been using these nutes sucessfully for a while now (GH) . I didnt read the entire thread so i didnt catch how you are growing your plant . I grow a few Mothers in something called a waterfarm made by the same company. The big fold out chart is pretty cool but i tend to just look on the back on the bottle of the nutes for mixing strength. If you have any questions about these nuted im sure i can help you.

You should at least get a ph meter. You can do without the ppm meter for now but would recommend getting one. I'll post one for you later and go over the nute programs.

ANOTHER QUESTION: my reservoir is 2'' x 3'' which cand holds 15 small plants ....im looking to do small SOG, style ... cut 15 clones with 9'' vege for week and put into my ebb/flow flowering for the next 8-10 weeks, haverst with 18''-20'' with one top cola....now my question is 250HPS is sufficient for this style ??? i have 400HPS but i dont want to use since i figure i have 6'' sqt/ft w/ 250HPS=27k...which is going to give me about 4500 lumens/sqt/ft...i believe it is a decent light for the size...let me know what you guys think...thanks

ive got around 600 watts on them now. 450watts of HPS and the rest CFLs
I was vegging them with cfl's. They were in a box a little over 2"x2". I had 9 42w bulbs total. 6 on top in a fixture I made and 3 more around them. They got to big and I had to put up my 400 hps and make more room to grow up. I was afraid the 400watt would be to hot without an exaust so I did'nt have it up. But then I had so many cfl's in there anyway and with the heat I figured I might as well put up the 400 and add a fan and filter. So I ended up with about 75 watt or about 12,000 lumens per sq ft But now I run both, I ran out of room again. In the pics it is the same fixture just with more bulbs. The others are with the hps, one in the box and one in the closet kinda like I have it now. It's not only how much total watts you have but what watt bulbs you use. The usable light will travel further with a higher watt bulb and get lower into the plant. You could do better with one larger bulb than several smaller ones. Oh ya, and good reflectors also help a lot. It gets more of the light reflected back down to the plant and they will grow better buds. Hint, hint.
