Ok so i dont have a big problem with them yet.
i really dont want to use chemicals n shit... so i was thinking to mist the plants with water .... and then expose them to the weather outside
20-30 degrees for about 10 - 15 minutes.

i think with being such a tiny little piece of shit they should freeze and die within that time ... and it shouldnt effect my plant at all

any one ever try stickn their plant out side or in a freezer to kill these bitches ????

what you guys think ?

I would not do that under any circumstances,plants are not intelligent but they are smart,they live their entire lives reacting to changes in climate,a change in temp as drastic as you propose could leave the plant in shock,stunt growth,damage plant cell structure...... ect ect ect,any number of bad situations could arise.

On top of the possible various bad scenarios spider mites will most likely live through the temp change,ive bought soil in the dead of winter where the bags were frozen completely solid like bricks,brought the soil home & after thawing it out the soil had living bugs in it,not mites but some other creepy bastards,still the point is that the michigan winter of -30 below zero didnt kill off the lil bastards.

The best way ive found to permantly get rid of mites it to scarify the top inch or two of the soil every day,this brings the larve up to the surface where they bake to death under the hot lights,keeping a good positive air flow at all levels of the grow forcing all leaves to flutter also helps,mites hate a strong breeze & will quickly die off if they haven no safe haven.

I would not try what your thinking about doing,mites are not very hard to kill off once you understand how to take away the enviroment they prefer to live & breed in.
