I was sexing some plants with a 60x-100x hand held microscope. I found what looks like orange flakes of sand. They don’t seem to move and are irregular in shape. They can’t be seen with the eye and I don’t have a camera good enough to use. Any experience with this? Anyone know what they are? Scale bugs?
