Ya i think it is bud rot after seeing the other post in this thread about mold.
Does bud rot look and feel like a powdery residue and turn the bud
(or anything else it touches) brown,black,dead,ect?

yeh man it's powder mildew or bud rot, i've heard of others smoking their rotten bud and doing fine bud u r still ihaling spores which could be dangerous, and like the other guy said u could get a sinus infection man
anyone think he can get any hash from it?

Last night i went out to see how bad it was and never seen anymore rot since i cut off what was there. I do believe it will come back. I will watch it closely every day
to see if it gets worse.
Before i cut anything off it, it was only infected about 3-4% of the whole plant so i dont want to pull it just yet.
If i was to pull it now will it continue to rot if it's hanging in a small room with a dehumidifier?

i think bubble hash would be the best results but i dont think that means your hash would be free of it especially since they say fire doesnt kill it nor does drying it, but yeah you can get sick ive heard of lung infections, pneumonia, and like i said my throat hurt and i had a sinus infection for a few days, had to stop smoking for a few days it wasnt cool haha, just keep your humidity at like 40 to 50% and have air circulating you should be cool when drying

sounds like bud rot to me..... how often does it rain? Do you go shake the water out of your buds after each rain?

Theres really nothing you can do but try to cut the infected area out....but you gotta det it ALL out, that shit spreads fast. Definitely dont smoke it, although i never thought about hash as the post above.

I usually just cut the entire infected branch, trim out the brown shit, dry it. Just watch it close as it dries, humidity regulation is important. Cutting the entire branch usually stops it, i guess cause you can never trim out all the spores in the adjacent buds....so i cut the whole thing

Get some better pics but it looks like bud rot. I had it this year on one of my plants. Not enough air circulation and humidity too high. I threw the worse of the bud away and turned the rest into honey oil.
Your humidity pretty high where you live?
