yeah, avoid pipeline right of ways too. they survey every 6 mths or 3 mths in high risk areas for leaks.

Through April 17, a second helicopter will be used in trimming trees in the area of transmission line. That helicopter has black and maroon stripes and tail numbers of N765KV.

they just fly this heli very low and the rotars do the work for them.

LOL! Iwas going to say the same thing! But, due to my background...flying *any* helicopters low, near POWER LINES and TREES is a huge danger. A lot of nesting/resting birds in those trees that are easily scared, and if your'e too low....

Taking a large bird (or small flock) strike to your tail rotor is pretty much the end of you. When you are that low, autogyro distance to the ground is very short and you have very little reaction time. Somebody needs to wise up start sending drones in- no people risk, small manueverable craft and low cost. Why am I always the one that has to think of this stuff?

In Ontario helicopters fly over underground gas lines looking for yellow patches as dead vegetation in an indicator of line leaks!

Sounds like you need a new spot dude, and why 3 plants outdoors? If your only doing 3 plants why not do them with an indoor hydro setup
