Alright chill, I'm not trying to start shit or anything, you were just very flippant in dismissing the risks of selling weed. You said no one's gonna throw you in jail for an 8th or a zip. That is absolutely not true, and at a festival, where you're parked and camping I've seen cops tearing through cars of people they arrested near the stage. If you weren't going to jail for the 8th you're definitely going if they find the rest of the pound in your trunk.

I think I made it very clear that I do not have a card or a safe way to get rid of shit and that I would be thrilled if I could. Since you were talking about copping in Humboldt I assumed you were from California or one of the many med states out West.

If you did have a medical card and were selling your shit for 5000 a pound in LA I would say you were being pretty greedy. Like people said, smaller markets like Santa Barbara pay higher prices. I have a friend in SB who gets 3500, he also volunteers at the dispensary though. Under federal policy, which has changed in the past week, that is legal. On the other hand, good shit in my area easily goes for 5000, sour and strawberry diesel can go for 6400.

And sorry to say but if they catch you on the street (or at a concert or wherever) on a felony charge they absolutely have the right to search your home and car later. Not only that, but they can seize your home, car, and all your bank assets if they decide to hit you with RICO laws, even if you bought them through a legitimate, taxpaying job.

I've never sold a legal bag of weed in my life either, but selling in an open air market to anonymous buyers at a concert is a dumb idea. LEO knows that festivals and concerts are a major distribution hub for lots of different drugs and you can count on them to have DTs in attendance.

Another thing to consider is who you may be competing with. The nitrous mafia killed a kid at Gathering of the Vibes this year. And I remember pushing cid at raves back in the day and having to worry about both DTs and members of a local blood set slinging their shit too.

This kid is in "unambiguous" cooperation with local law, which under federal law is now legal. I wouldn't advise that he do something illegal when he (unlike you and i) has a legal option.

For those of us who aren't as lucky, please do not sell weed to people you don't know in the open. You'll be better off if you find one mid level dealer who will buy 5 lbs at a time (18,000-20,000 around here) and stick with him/her everytime you harvest.

Keep it professional and dont sell to the kiddies.. just use your book smarts and street smarts man... get rid of a few pounds to 1 trusted person...preferably a MMJ shop since thats legal i think..then bag the rest up in quarters and sell them to ur close friends only.. keep ur operation small and discrete.. the fewer amount of people that know what you do.. the less chance you will have of being busted by an undercover or getting snitched out... and stay away from the damn concerts
