This video comes courtesy of the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union. It's a video documenting the 2009 UN conference in Vienna, Italy. It seems that stupidity is not exclusive to the US.
It gets worse. It seems as though the UN has its version John Walters....
In other news. Portugal is in year 8 of it's drug (all drugs) decriminalized system. I bet you can't guess what the results are.....http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2009/...n-in-portugal/
better summerized here
How much news is this getting? none.

That's a video of the presentation on Portugal by Glenn Greenwald. What was the youtube video about the EU John Walters. I think the link was bad.
Edit: +rep because I had no idea that Portugal had decriminalized.

sorry bout that, it should be fixed now. typo on my part. So the EU version of Walters is a guy named Costra. he's almost as clueless and deceptive as Walters.
good videos. especially like the one from the Cato.org. It was long but it was good and very informative.
very good stuff!! ^
you get to hear from a Portuguese man who is on a commission to dissuade use.. it all sounds so reasonable and good..!!!!
later you hear from an old fart narc officer who tries to say that decriminalization is not really what helped people, but it was the additional funds funneled into prevention programs.. he says that Sweden has less drug use because they are tougher a-holes about it.. however i have been reading this document - http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2009/...n-in-portugal/ - which clearly shows that Sweden has more cannabis use than Portugal.. so he's either wrong or just a liar.. he also pretty much says that alcohol prohibition was good.. what an arse.......
then there is more reasonable talk... well worth the 25 minutes...
