Saudi beheads citizen for drug trafficking

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia-Saudi authorities have announced the beheading of a citizen convicted of drug trafficking.
The Saudi Press Agency, quoting the Interior Ministry, says Hussein Bin Saleh Mailu was executed in the eastern town of al-Khobar after being convicted of smuggling hash into the country.
Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam under which people convicted of murder, drug trafficking, rape and armed robbery can be executed.
According to an Associated Press count, Sunday's executions bring to 65 the number of people beheaded this year in the kingdom. Last year, 137 people were beheaded, up sharply from 38 in 2006.

I dont think people understand the middle east well. hell i barely do. but from what i know saudi arabia is a decent country. hell they cover every citizen with college paid for anywhere in the world, no tax. they are very sexist... lemme rephrase that, horribly sexist. i hate it but its engraved deep in their culture. There islamic law is decent. low crime rates and half the time disputes are handled without the govts assistance, police there are nothing like here. put it this way. Every murder there is beheaded. if only 140 something people are beheaded a year then not much shit is happening there or much stuff is not caught by the govt. hell how many people are lethally injected in america? dude all im saying is yeah its fucked up. But the states is too, i grew up in the states like 90% of my life. I have traveled alot and yeah everywhere is really fucked up. its human nature i guess
