Wash. medical pot patients protest caps on supply

Medical marijuana activists plan to pack a state Health Department hearing to protest limits on how much pot a patient can have.

They're upset with the state's proposed caps, which will define the amount of marijuana and plants that are considered a legal two-month supply under state law.

State officials once wanted to propose 35 ounces and 100 square feet of plant-growing area. But Gov. Chris Gregoire thought that was too high, and ordered the Health Department to meet with law enforcement.
Afterward, the proposed limits dropped to 24 ounces of usable pot, along with six mature plants and 18 immature plants. Those are the same limits used in Oregon.

I personally think they need to calm the fuck down before their right to medical cannabis gets totally repealed again. They don't know how good they fucking have it.

Who in the fuck needs more then a half oz. per day anyway (which is about what 24 oz per two months works out to). I'm sorry, but if you need more than 14 joints of medical grade herb a day... you need some stronger medicine.

and 6 mature plants is nothing?!! If you are going to run all the electric do you think you should be able to grow as much as you can and however you want? Like having a sea of green uses 100 clones you can get the same amount out of 3 plants that you veg the shit out of

I'm totally for being able to have as much as you want also. But what I'm saying is that the laws allowing them access at all are relatively new, and you can be your ass they are being re-considered by many. Stupid protests like these just add fuel to the arguments anti-pot activists make (in particular, that legalizing for medical use actually ends up putting more weed into the black market).

If weed were legalized in that state totally, then I would be all about protests like these. But it isn't, it is legalized for MEDICAL use. I would think it is is rare that even a medical user uses more then a half oz. a day. Half these people protesting are probably just wanting to sell it themselves to make money. I have no problem with that... but they should just be honest. Lying I have a problem with. That makes the movement look bad.

If these idiots want to go protest the fact that weed is only legal there for medical (and not recreational) use, then I'd be right there protesting with them. But they are protesting medical laws, and they are being stupid because the medical laws are actually fairly good.

Protest something worthwhile, like the fact that cannabis is still illegal in that state while alcohol is legal.
