i am currently waiting for six seeds to sprout using the paper towel method..my ? is ..is it ok to lift the top plate off the seeds to add water..its just that everything i have read suggests you shouldnt let light in but how do you keep towels moist without doing just that?..i noticed that after a few hours of seed plate placed on vcr recorder (for warmth) the towels dry out quite fast...

cannabis seeds will sprout in a cup of water. first they float, then a few hours later they sink. as soon as they crack, they are ready to go into medium. with the paper towel it is best to put them in a ziplock bag to keep them from drying out. that being said, it's best to just drop them in a cup of water.
