Default "Tune out" the politics forum?

Is there some way to tune out a specific forum, to stop any posts from particular forum showing up in the "new posts" search?

If there's anyone else who finds it difficult to resist getting dragged into pointless political bickering, here's what I've started to do.

Before I hit the "New Posts" button, I go straight to the Politics forum; then I click "Forum Tools"/"Mark This Forum Read"; then I hit "New Posts" and I get all the new posts except those in the politics forum.

Works for me. Most of the time.

I may try this. It's not that I don't enjoy chatting politics, but not on this forum (personal preference) though fine by me if others want to.
