I met one of my best friends while he was in easton, im pretty sure his family lives in blaine now. got stuck in a couple potato fields there before hahaha.
oddly enough, him & his ol' lady are now in NH also.

I don't really have a problem with it being Frenchville north of Limestone.![]()
Yeah I concur, we can't make everyone happy.
I don't know if anyone still checks in on this thread at all, but I'm glad I found it. My wife and I are planning to move to Maine. We're still not sure where to go. Looked into Burnham, Jackson, and I forget the other place. We're looking into buying a foreclosed home with some land and setting up shop. We wanted to be somewhere close to NY because of we both have family here, and I wanted to find a decent state with medical. I found this thread to be helpful because I'm going to do some research on the towns listed here. I do have a question for the people in here. How long do you have to reside in Maine before becoming eligible for a medical marijuana card? I looked on the application form and the application instruction form and didn't see anything about it. I also Googled it, but never found an answer there either. If someone could answer that for me, that would be awesome. Thanks.
I don't believe the law addresses it at all. Therefore, I'm sure that as soon as you are a legal resident and get a doctor's certification, you're good.
Welcome to Maine ND .... The way Life should beVery familiar with both Burnham and Jackson .... Both are very nice rural towns.
Thanks MaineYankee, but I haven't moved yet. Lol. We're still trying to find a nice house. I saw some nice foreclosures in a few different towns for $40-50k. Only need 5% down and end up with payments of like $200 a month. That's what I like. Lol. But I am glad to know that it won't take that long for me to get my med card. If we don't get a place in Jackson or Burnham, we were looking into Presque Isle. I saw someone mention it in an earlier post and my wife and I looked at some places there. Nice. But we're looking for a town smaller than that. Lol. We've done the city life, and we're currently living in a small town with under 1,000 people. That's what we wanna find in Maine. Some place quiet. I hope when we do move though, we will end up meeting some of y'all. I have been through some of the Maine threads on here and y'all seem like nice people. Reminds me of my good ole' Southern people. Lol. Hospitable and laid back.
Although Presque Isle, may "look big" its not, very homey and chilled place. I lived in Caribou for a bunch of years while taking courses at University of Maine @ PI. I will say its a long drive from there to NY though, did it a few times while up there. There is not much up there, but I would not think twice about moving back and raising my family up there, in fact I discuss it with my wife probably once a year. Peace
