Harlequin

Has anyone tried this strain? I've been trying to get a hold of it as I'm sensitive to high THC varieties and seek the relief that a high CBD strain is thought to offer?

As far as I know, its mostly a west coast strain- but I've heard the dispensary in Auburn carries it- Unfortunately they are not accepting new patients at the time.

I do not have any information regarding your question, sorry. But I am quite surprised and a little confused that a dispensary is not accepting new patients. The way the law was written, they get an exclusive territory and therefore are the sole supplier (other than caregivers or growing your own). With such exclusivity should come responsibility to serve the area's needs. Not that I really care one way or the other, I don't even live near there and I am a caregiver myself anyway. Just doesn't seem right though.

I was suprised as well when I got a call from DHHS during the processing of my paperwork saying I would need to designate a different dispensary. I was not too happy since Remedy is the only dispensary that carries a high CBD strain. I guess the dispensary operators told DHHS not to let any new patients register until december because apparently they didnt have enough product to keep up with all the patients.

I have talked to this guy, and i don't know about his light setup (other than it took me 15 min. to explain why just adding more power strip to a mechanical timer is not the same as a controler) I do know his nutrient 'regiment' is ridiculous. I won't trust their meds and I wont recomend them to patients either.. and I have a full roster of patients and a waiting list, I don't trust these guys, they seem honest just incompitant.. <shrug>

maybe it was just some random dude at the grow shop saying he was with remedy but i don't know why he would...

onto the OP's problem, have you tried Maine's 'jack' or 'jack the ripper'? its not the subcool strain ad its a pretty high cbd, if i remeber correctly

it was evident right from the very first time we met smaile that he had no idea how to grow anything.....no way he should have been awarded a dispensary....while he's fucking around there are patients in need, and remedy will never be able to help them unless he eats his ego and finds some quality growers.....

from my impression of the dude, that won't happen.. His parting words where how he was going to make his own inorganic bloom boost (pk13/14, yada yada), with chemicals from a wholesale chem house and sell it to people.. That was his responce to my own thoughts on a mid stage bloom booster through my AACT program.. :/ he had no idea what the disscusion was about, heard bloom booster and jumped to the product (canna pk13/14).. It's to bad, he has a chance to do a lot of good for people and make a descent living doing it BUT his ego will squash that..

again, this was on two meetings at a grow shop maybe I got this guy totally wrong but it sounds like others hit on the same shit.. :(

nah your right he's an idiot.....he want a grower to feed with his"top secret formula" (he won't say what's in it) and pick dead leaves off the plant....and that's it.....

he might know business but without quality(or any in this case any) product, there is no business here.....

I wish we had gotten that districts dispensary, we would be helping alot more patients....

WELL, I think his loss is our gain, its just sad that his NGO says he'll be 'helping' about 250 people (who knows how many is full capacity now) and we can only care for 5.. so agreed, I don't know what plan you had or anything about your application, it must have been thought out better than this.. .

dope location though..

*just finished an ounce of Harlequin.. superb pain mitigation.. vico can kiss my ass ;) , supresses anxiety / epileptic auras , minor body aches---gone ;)

little to no THC side-effects.. good all around high CBD strain, i'd recommend it to any real medical cannabis user.. not for recreational use.. its not for that..

--smoking a bong load before bed time, always has me feeling good in the morning :leaf:

Cannawizard, sounds like just the right medicine for me- little to no THC effects.

I wonder what kind of politics were at play when choosing the dispensaries for the districts. I'm not a caregiver, but I've spoken to more than a few who didn't get chosen, and they seemed to know a lot more than others that got chosen.

Too bad about Remedy. I wonder what kind of politics were at play when choosing the dispensaries for the districts. I'm not a caregiver, but I've spoken to more than a few who didn't get chosen, and they seemed to know a lot more about growing then the operators of Remedy. I've never met them personally but I've spoke on the phone with Jenna Smale and she was nothing but nice and extremely helpful. I could tell that she really did feel bad that she couldn't help me, but when it comes to who's growing my medicine, I'll take a seasoned asshole over a novice nice guy any day.
*seasoned assholes are hard workers.. hence the 'asshole' part... LOL

harlequin is good for the reasons already stated. Another high cbd strain you might want to check out is ATF. I actually prefer it to harlequin

If you are looking for high cbd go bubba kush pre 98 had a 12 percent cbd and only 8 percent thc i believe it just won the cup in frisco

As far as I know, there is no Pre-98 bubba kush at any dispensaries here... I can only dream ;)

Also I'm curious for those who have had experience using high CBD:Low THC strains if it's really all it's hyped up to be? Does it really relive anxiety? work wonders for pain? I've seen the studies for what it can do for neuro-protection and anti-oxidation, which is something I think we all need but It's nice to have anecdotal evidence too.

I'm going through a hell of a time trying to get hold of any varieties with high CBD so hopefully I'm not wasting my time.

Here in Maine we are a bit behind on the medical program and the dispensaries are not at all like they appear to be in cali- selection wise.
*its very hard to get real high CBD strains.. since breeders have pretty much bred strains only high in THC.. CBD works :), google search, many reliable sites pertaining to CBD info/specs

*link me a high CBD bubba strain / phenotype.. :) pretty please... any data?
Bubba seems to be one of the more common strains to consistently test among the highest of CBD strains, some submissions even beating out Harlequin and Cannatonic.

While there, check the R-4 at the top of the list, an insane 15% CBD with 0.59% THC !
