Polls are mostly meaningless, especially ones conducted by bias organizations. In this case ACLU of Hawaii. Hawaii has such high drug use, mostly meth and ice, I don't see how any current illegal drug including pot could survive politically.
The Arizona poll was commissioned by the National Cannabis Industry Association and conducted by Public Policy Polling, left leaning bigtime.

Truth is most states do not have a pro-marijuana majority, especially at the voting booth. AZ just got medical finalized in December of 2012 and the first dispensary opened the same week. Unfortunately the prices are at or above street prices thanks to taxes and regulations. Legal is many years off for AZ and HI if the majority of voters wish to legalize it and if it even makes it to a vote.

stop being a pesimest...things are changing. They may be "stopped" for a little bit by the feds but I bet probably in 5-8 years there will be a bunch of states that have recreational use of mj legal.

Yea for sure if you look back from when Cali first had mmj its a been a turtle pace for cannabis, but we all know how the turtle did in the race!

these things take time and patience. I think if we were to see a graph of the progress of cannabis since Cali it's most def an upward trend as far as the graph would be concerned. We have years of this plant being seen as bad it's not gonna win the hearts of everyone over nite.

although, as time goes on and more families who never would consider cannabis as a medical benefit, end up finding that one of there sick family members benefits from cannabis. It slowly starts to change their views on the plant. It will take time but have faith, I do.

Pessimists live longer.

Time will tell what happens, until then reality rules and reality is marijuana is illegal for most of the nation.
