Default NJ Decriminalizing (a good start)

Connecticut (yea Connecticut!) is being cited as the model of decriminalization for New Jersey. The bill is making bipartisan progress through committee:

And in further good news: it is pretty clear that legalization is now desired by the majority in the US:

"A new national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows that 56% favor legalizing and regulating marijuana in a similar manner to the way alcohol and tobacco cigarettes are regulated. Thirty-six percent (36%) are opposed to such a legalizing and regulating pot."

we edge forward, NY has just had another MMJ bill making some noise(paused at the moment though)
tell you the truth, if they would just decriminalize growing, i'd be ecstatic
it's all a word game at this point, the politicians see the money(drool, drool), but they don't have the balls to legalize
call it whatever you want, just end this idiotic prohibition which is helping no one

i doubt they would decriminalize growing although that would be awesome.
Its such a triumph of fear and ignorance over fact and logic, that the drug that kills nobody...... Is the illegal one!!
I mean, how would you explain that to an alien who came down? -Bill Maher-

probably not, that's going to be the final plug out of the dam
we know where we're heading, some form a quasi legalization, that won't be called legalization, but will provide another government source of revenue

decriminalization is WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN! Legalize = BAD and not enough people see it! If cannabis is just flat out legalized that would be great but would bring whole new problems too. The politicians dont have the balls to legalize because they profit from its prohibition plain and simple. Anyone that is not for at least the decriminalization of cannabis is a drug war profiteer and our system is so flawed we citizens do not have the power to change that.. Not only that if its legalized that is just an open door for monsanto to come step in the MJ industry and ruin decades upon decades of genetics with their GMO crap... Not to mention the very sudden drop of prices (recall california circa 97-2000) because now all of the sudden everyone is legal to grow and rocking 1000W+ HID systems because theres no longer a need to worry about LEOs.

Dont get me wrong, im all for the decriminalization of cannabis, and eventually full legalization, but right now at this particular moment, is not what this country needs. we need to fix internal issues first and work out way out. Just my thoughts anyways.
