the addy on martin st is his office addres. I have spent the last couple of days sending emails to norml, mpp, and to the local media asking for more coverage on this matter. here is a copy of the email I sent to every one of the local media stations in atlanta.


I'm writing to tell you how fundamentally opposed I am to State rep. Tommy Bentons ideas of caning marijuana users. My father lives in New Mexico where Medical use is allowed. He has a perscription for Cannabis for his central nervous system damage and C.O.P.D. The very thought of someone caning him for using the medicine that he is allowed to take makes me sick.

I am surprised that I have not seen anything about this in the local news. To have our elected officials spouting hateful ignorant views that so completely oppose our free country, to model his ideas on Singapores laws, is outragious! If he wants to live like people in Singapore, maybe he should leave U.S.A and go there.

I would like for this story to have a little coverage. I feel that people who wouldnt look at the same websites I do, would never know what kind of evil, communistic, unamerican views their elected officials have towards so many of their children, friends, and neighbors.

Where did our freedom of speech go? Just because his legalistic views clash with reality does not give him a green flag to beat, whip or kill human beings. Also, I thought our representatives were suppose to represent us, not to turn us in to the local city gangs (police) if we threaten their agendas.

Tommy is a true SOB. But the reality is that his way of thinking is not that far from the norm in many areas. We just have to identify all these dicks. Organize when and where possible, and vote the pricks out.
