What is the procedure in California to become a medical provider? I know several people with Medical cards. I have one myself. Is it possible for me to provide them the medicine they need

in what capacity? do you want to grow and sell to dispensaries? basically - you need copies of people's doctor prescriptions - for each scrip you can grow 6 plants..

if you want to supply weed to people you really should have a prescription yourself.. in that case just buy legal weed and take it to people and don't get caught! if they pull you over or something you can say that you are a caregiver for these people.. that is the deal - once you are responsible for someone's medication you are a caregiver.. i don't know how far the cops respect these principles in all areas... maybe have copies of their scrips at all times..

but crap, you still haven't answered my question - how exactly do you intend to 'provide' the pot?

I wanted to grow the medicine myself and provide in the same capacity as a dispensary. I know two people one with cancer and the other in wheel chair because of an auto accident. Its very hard for them to get to a disp. Also most of the stores around here aren't very wheelchair friendly. I'd love to help them out. But I don't want to break any laws. We are all in CA and all have the legal right to purchase medicinal mj. Do you have to have any special permit or liscense to do this?

No have them name u there grower carry copies of their scrip and as long as u stay in ur limits ull be good. Good to see someone who cares about something besides themselves grow on buddah bruddah

I agree! I'm working on getting scripts. I have also found a little more info in regards to this. There is an attorney named Bruce Margolin. He has a free downloadable MJ Law Guide. Very nice. I recommend this for anyone with a medical liscense for mj.

This is no longer true in California. T o qualify as a caregiver, you must now "consistently provide" other services to the individual pertaining to food, shelter, transportation and/or medical care. If you are looking to stay "legal", the caregiver option is not what it used to be.
