south texas is lenient on it too than the rest of the state. primarily because of the border and all the middle grade weed that comes over. i've had friends busted with more than three Oz of schwag over there and were let off with a warning and their stash confiscated even though state law would've considered it a class A misdemenor.
agreed

That's why they never talk about it...because they can never remember where they put it! LOL! Seriously though, HB 164 has been presented in the Texas HoR, but as of yet, to no avail. Hopefully, though in the next couple years, it will make it through the House and on to the Texas Senate. But even if it makes it through that Gov. Perry might veto... I guess we'll just have to drink our LEGAL 6 packs while we wait :/
well said

I believe we are not too far from acheiving our goal. Even in Houston, I can find a few pot friendly bars.... Actually more than a few. Ive even seen a few outdoor grows too!

Obama has been pretty big on this whole Mexican drug cartel thing. And legalizing marijuana would easily end that shit guaranteed. http://www.mpp.org/states/texas/news...-legalize.html

Ron Paul, from Texas is one of the biggest supporters of decriminalization
If he won instead of Obama, we would all be better off right now

I know you may think this video is kinda boring, there are no naked chicks, or dudes getting killed, big explosions, or anything like that.

But this is REAL life...

This is a real meeting between elected officials. Whatch the youtube video, its only 5 minutes

Sheila Jackson Lee is a congresswoman in Texas, and agrees that marijuana should be decriminalized.

So does Ron Paul..... I mean, if you think Texas will never be decriminalized, you are wrong

Arizona = Yes
New Jersey = Not sure, but I don't think so
Texas = No

Now don't jump at me the wrong way when I say this, and I am not specifically toting my home state as the "shit" or better than yours, but...

If Texas were to ever follow suit, between Texas and California alone that is 20-25% of the US Population. Along with every other state that has decriminalize laws, this would make roughly 1/3 of the US population able to get medical marijuana.
What I am saying is if there is one state that could be huge for the decriminalization of marijuana, Texas is that state.
It also isn't asking too much, looking at Ron Paul and with other representative mentioned above. Austin is also one of the most liberal big cities in the nation believe it or not. We also have the largest border with Mexico, and we all know about what is happening down there right now.

texas born and raised here too! Im constantly sending emails to our chapter in NORML and to the courts, havent heard anything close to "legalization" for our wonderful state but i can tell u what when this state does make it legal it will boast tax money like a mofo for the Entire US cause as previously stated by ILZ, Cali and Texas are rediculously huge and we got alot of weed friendly people here and there to bring in a booming wealth to the economy... Just gotta wait and see, but if nothing happens soon Im moving for sure I need it for my back injury I got 2 years ago in a car crash, pills dont do anything only herb! And I know im not the only patient needing this to be legal and easy to get good quality bud. Cause if your from South Texas you know its not the greatest bud by far...

Think of the outdoor grows capable in SE Texas if it did happen... perfect/slightly acidic soil, pretty intense light, cooler around all the trees...
