There is a serious need to go for legalization in Idaho. I think that the ultra-conservative states in the west have lacked any progress in their totalitarian goals of controlling morality. Utah and Idaho are a really drag on the movement!

Do you think that 'spreading the herb' to these places will benefit the movement for legalization more drastically, based on the influence in that area (example: Proposition 8 in Cali, and the Mormon influence there from Utah's LDS church leadership)..

Personally, I think liberating Idaho and/or Utah would send out a beacon of liberty to the surrounding areas. Similar to the effect that Denver is having on policy in other states like Washington and Massachusetts where Denver's decriminalization laws are being mentioned in legislature hearings. The results of Denver's decriminalization has proven to be very effective in controlling crime, and spending resources on real crimes, while saving the city's budget millions. This is also similar to Seattle's I-75.. Etc etc...

Once all of the states get on board for legalization, then the feds really have no choice.

My goal is to get something organized in Idaho, and encourage or help facilitate a chapter in Utah. Knock out two ultra-prohibition states, and many others will follow suit!

If the United States could afford to lose 3 states and not care at all, both Idaho and Utah would be on that list. Followed closely by Iowa and the Dakotas...

i'm thinking that if california takes the lead and decriminalizes this summer then other states can observe and decide if it was a good idea or not for themselves.. we might see a lot more money coming in than expected for the state.. i know there are a lot of stoners in utah - i've been to SLC once.. went to Streamers... it wont be long before other neighboring states follow suit.. they will get sick of hassling people at the borders and legalize and it will spread eastward like a huge cloud!!

meanwnwhile it seems that maybe obama is partly responsible for this sudden gush of states starting medical pot and loosening penalties - perhaps they feel at liberty since the federal raids wont happen...?

it's all going to have to gradually change.. first with weed - then other substances.. until drugs are all as worthless as pogs and not enticing enough to throw away your life over.. i like how it's the "marijuana Control, Regulation, and EDUCATION Act".. i heard a quote from a man in amsterdam saying "we've successfully made pot boring." and that's why they have 50% the use per capita we have of pot.. we need to bring weed out into the light and show everyone what it really is and does - do studies - and at the same time take it out of the hands of the black market.. i just read the other night how 50% of the violent smuggling from mexico is weed....

i really hope the AB 390 is california passes.. it would be a great first step!

It would be a good first step, the retail sales would not start until there is a change in Federal Law that would allow for such sales. VV
