So in New York State possession of 25g or less of the pots is punishable by a maximum 100.00 fine. No jail time. HOWEVER!!!! "Possession or sale of paraphernalia is punishable by up to one year in jail or a fine up to $1,000."

Now I don't expect much in life to make sense.. but really?! Wtf! I guess as long as I am holding a 25g smoking cola with my lips extended like I'm getting ready to suck the trichs off the bud, fighting to get a hit, I am not in any danger of going to jail.. but in possession of a pipe or a roch clip?! PARAPHERNALIA!

I think they were high when they wrote these laws.. which is a good thing, at least mere possession is decriminalized in many states. They can make it easy on themselves and everyone involved by just dropping the issue and taxing the hell out of it, balancing the budget!!
