I have an idea about what legalizing marijuana could do. If it were legalized, to be able to grow it and sell it should be the same as tobacco, have to have a license to be able to, sell it in liquor stores only, must be 21 to purchase and use, stiff penalties to people buying for minors, taxed at twice the tax rate for tobacco. Not only would we save billions in ending prohibition, but also creating millions in new tax revenue. They say they can't tax this plant, but they sure do tax the hell out of anther plant, tobacco.

Its called a "sin tax" its why lotto, cigs, booze, and the like are taxed because they are "bad". I'll pay uncle sam some doh to let me legally smoke.

No kidding nobody deserves to spend so much as 1 night in jail for safely imbibing or growing pot, Nobody. Its a travesty, at worst its a medical problem not a crime. Just another excuse for a police state.

I've seen the effects of alcohol abuse and I will tell you from what I've seen Its far worse. Alcohol can ruin lives I should have a brother/sister now 2 years younger then me. Dads an Alcoholic beats mom kills fetus. If dad had smoked a couple bowls before he got home instead, I bet, that would never have happened. Now my dad, who I still love, has had cancer has a swollen liver, conjestive heart failure, diabetise and lookes like crap. I can't believe this is the same man I idalized as a child. This is a man who wheighed in at 300lbs 6'2'' broad shoulders barrel chested worked 16 hours a day in a cotten gen has sucked up to 165lbs with thin little legs and arms and a huge hard belly. Hes only like 55 years old hes sucked up. Alcohol ...

His Sister, my Aunt, has been smokin' bud for ...shit maybe 30 years. Only problem with her is she smokes allot. She is fun to be with She lauphs and talks, unlike my Dad.

In short Its no worse than Alcohol, and I don't think Alcohol should be illigel either.

Yeah, I'd pay the tax for it.

I'd rather be able to legally grow my own, or hell just go to a store and purchase it.

I don't trust most dealers especially ones who sell actually drugs. I once bought a sak laced with meth I was going to grind it and found a big crystal in the bag.

I don't do shit like that and I want nothing to do with it. Weed isn't a drug and shouldn't be treated like one.

I'm old and I would have never thought this prohibition would have continued this long.

Its a problem when big drugmakers feel as if 20% of the drug (pharmaceutical)sales will stop on day 1 of the new deal.

The problem is that the odor and smell of the plant is great and ought to be legal (and to cook with). As for accepting it as a smoking products i don`t think the governments ever will. I like smoking as much as anyone else might like tobacco. I hate tobacco make that illegal make people grow their own.
