She had to renounce her former citizenship, and when I submitted my sponsorship visa application I was told that you must renounce your former citizenship (USA) To become a Canadian citizen. So to answer your question. I came up with this shit from a Canadian immigration officer, and my wife who's been a Canadian citizen for the last 15 years. its not because Canada does not permit dual citizenship . . . ure allowed in Canada . . . . u ever thought that u cant cant have dual citizenship if ure american ? i went to keep my dual citizenship like 4 months ago and there was no problems and ive been a canadian citizen for the last 30 years i think id would know and ive had a dual citizenship ever since i was born . . . .
