Growing in a house share with friends:What is their liability if caught?

Hi guys,

I've been growing for a little over a year now in student accommodation in my trusty PC case build but soon I will be moving into a house share with 5 of my friends. One other grows in a PC case, two know we grow, and two know nothing at all. One of the two that know we grow is, only recently, voicing concerns about us growing in the house. He feels that if we were to be caught, we would all be evicted from the house.

I feel as though they would have total deny-ability, its in a PC case, in my own room which has a lock, how could they of known? However, I have no legal knowledge at all so my opinion is somewhat invalid.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Or any knowledge on the subject? Im in the UK if that makes a difference for laws etc...

It's risky.. I wouldn't let anyone near my house if i were growing.. Friends are the ones who steal your shit

Never underestimate the power of the law to do you any which way including sideways.

Do not risk housemates unless you unanimously acknowledge and share it. Use the jury standard: even one "uh, maybe not" is a veto. cn

The ones I know can definitely be trusted, they wouldnt turn me into the police or steal from me ( I wont have enough worth stealing, maybe 2Oz every 8 weeks?)

Unanimously acknowledge the grow and share the weed do you mean?

Are there any steps I could take to give the others a leg to stand on? Unless I can come up with a way of giving them immunity, one guy will not let me grow and that means I may have to go weedless for a long time

I am sure if someone was caught, the landlord would be able to evict all persons.

If 1 dude knows about it and does not want you to grow, there may be an issue right there. I do believe all that live there should know what is going on and approve of the risk before even considering getting into it.
I don't think there is a way living there you could get off without knowledge of it growing there imo.

Even in a pc case? which is very well stealthed with no light leaks/no smell leaks
