Just because the items weren't on the search warrant does not mean they weren't allow to confiscate them (that's absurd to thing that would be the case). Sure, the plants weren't included in the warrant, but that's not the point, the warrant is to gain access to the property, not a laundry list of things they're allowed to take, and have to leave anything else illegal there and forget they ever saw it. Just doesn't work like that.

when dealing with police in any situation the best thing to remember is, yes sir, no sir, i dont know sir, not at all sir. most people talk themselves into trouble.

No charges? Count your fucking lucky stars. Drop it, don't bother the Police. Move your grow, get some new plants, and keep your mouth shut .

You didn't say where you lived titobhoy but if you we're growing illegal, I doubt you've heard the last of it. I know a guy who's house got raided while he was away and the warrant for his arrest was issued six months later. If I was you, I'd go see a lawyer NOW!!!!!! At the very least pick one out, tell him the situation, and when the arrest warrant comes you'll at least be ready.

On the other hand, the cops may have overstepped their bounds and they know that, so they didn't charge you. I wouldn't count on it, but you could be lucky. Never ever grow anywhere that your name is on the deed, lease, rent agreement again. You are on their radar for sure so they will come knocking again.

You did not give them the info they wanted so they F'ked with you. Without a warrant specifically to seize your plants, they cant charge you for what they found. Thats why they just took the shi.t without arresting you. They could not legally. Cops can detain and confiscate at will but they cannot arrest or enter proof into evidence without going through the proper guidelines, guidelines that those cops did not follow. They cant even use what they took as evidence because the means in which they obtained them was illegal. You F'ed with them (in their opinion) by not giving them the info they wanted. So yeah they took your weed to F with you. You are an illegal grower though, this they know, so they are thinking this, "what is he going to do, tell on us? He really going to try to tell the D.A that the cops took my illegal grow illegally?" You are fine, they will not come back to arrest you. Just get legal and start growing elsewheres. Also, only grow what the doc recommendation allows...
