Cops raided my grow room, took everything but never even found 1 plant !!!

The cops came in to my house thanx to my mom who opened the door and allowed them to search the house. I was in the police station soo i counldnt call my mom and tell her not to open the door unless they break it open and show you a search warrant. They came in and took all of my grow equipment threw out my hydroton pebbles but the did not find any marijuana PLANTS NOR ONE SINGLE SEED OF marijuana. They didnt charge me with anything I was free after spending 3nights at the police station. I called them back and they said they are going to destroy all of the things they took and if I try to get them back they are going to charge me with intent to manufacture cannabis. What can I do? Im pretty sure I can get all of my stuff back and if they do destroy my equipment can I sue them? Thanx for reading and thanx for helping out in advance.

From the sounds of it you're under 18yo.
You basically have no rights. Especially if you're growing in your Mom's home.

Admit nothing and talk to a lawyer. Chances are these assholes are going to try to fuck your life up if you have no connections to call on. Don't talk to them till you talk to a lawyer, and even after that don't talk to them. What's their evidence? Hearsay? Legal equipment one can buy everyday? Cops are liars, but sadly you're growing days around there are over. But why were you in a police station to begin with if I might ask?

I want to know what caused the suspicious, but they were given consent to search by your mother, so they did that legally. You can however get your stuff back by law.

I think they can keep it if they can prove that he planned on using it to cultivate marijuana.Like say if his mother told them that.Grow lights can be considered drug paraphenalia under the right circumstances.Unless he's legal which I doubt.
