It would be nice to walk into a shop, and pick out a bag of whatever strain I fancy. Purple kush one day, purple haze another. A whole ounce of blonde lebanese hash. A dozen brownies, guaranteed to make me trip.

But then, wouldn't that take the fun out of it? Isn't part of the fun, it's illicit nature. The thrill of avoiding the cops.

It would be interesting to live in a world where pot was legal. And yet, I think I would miss the way things "were."
i noticed that effect when i got my card, but it has passed. now i feel safe and legal. i'll get my kicks in some other way. and smoke when i need to without feeling like a criminal.

being legal/medical myself, i can say the thrill is still there for us. its like being protected in the same society that doesn't protect your stoner peers. I grow legitimately, but providing to non-medi patients is the illegal part. (not that i do that, cause i'm somehow able to smoke all the ounces I grow.)

its like being sheltered behind a rock while an avalanche sweeps up your homies. still exhilerating, but also pleasing in a way.

i'm sorry brainwarp but thats ridiculous, i hate that thrill. and i don't think it will be legalized. even tho the majority of people in California want it to be legalized the government can withold fed. taxes from the state because they legalized it. i.e. every state has to have the legal drinking age of 21 or else they won't get fed. taxes. plus one of the higher ups in Obama's cabinet, said legalization isn't in the president's vocabulary so... but i'm crossing my finger man

Maybe if the State was Wyoming or some shit...then I would agree.

However, California has too many electoral votes....too much Hollywood which means a lot of influence....Calis leading the way and the govt cant do a fucking thing to stop it...

It seems there may be some opposition to legalization from those who grow for profit. Probably some of the people on these forums.

A recent show on A&E, suggested that legalization would take away the big profits from growing. Not sure why. There would still be a large demand. Perhaps more people would grow their own?

Growers are probably afraid that legalization would allow folks to grow their own, and that's more competition... but legalization will inevitably bring more regulation, and higher taxes.

Look at the price of cigarettes and alcohol; these products are being priced out of the market, and if national health care gets pushed though, you're going to be paying more; if you smoke weed, drink pop, eat bacon, own a gun; anything that doesn't promote good health with be levied with high taxes.
